PENERAPAN TEKNIK GRAPHIC OVERLAY DALAM PENYAJIAN GRAFIS INFORMASI PROGRAM LIVE SPORT COMPETITION TINY ON RIDE

The live competition program “Tiny On Ride” is a children’s pushbike competition with a fast race flow, requiring clear, simple, and engaging visual information. This Final Project aims to describe the application of the Graphic Overlay technique by the editor in presenting information graphics for the program. Akbar (2020) explains that an editor processes visual material into a program with flow, continuity, and aesthetic value. Owens (2019) states that television graphics should be easy to read because on-screen information is viewed only briefly. The implementation method includes observation, literature study, and the application of Graphic Overlay. This technique is applied through Lower Third, Rider Profile, Track Map Graphic, Quiz Graphic, Trivia Graphic, and Winner Graphic. The result shows that Graphic Overlay helps deliver host and participant identities, track information, interactive and educational information, and competition results clearly without disturbing the main race visuals.

Program live Competition “Tiny On Ride” merupakan program kompetisi pushbike anak dengan alur perlombaan yang cepat, sehingga memerlukan penyajian informasi visual yang jelas, sederhana, dan menarik. Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan teknik Graphic Overlay oleh editor dalam menyajikan informasi grafis pada program tersebut. Akbar (2020) menjelaskan bahwa editor mengolah materi visual menjadi tayangan yang memiliki alur, kesinambungan, dan nilai estetika. Owens (2019) menjelaskan bahwa grafis televisi perlu mudah dibaca karena informasi pada layar hanya dilihat dalam waktu yang singkat. Metode pelaksanaannya meliputi observasi, studi pustaka, dan penerapan teknik Graphic Overlay . Teknik ini diterapkan melalui Lower Third, Rider Profile, Track Map Graphic, Quiz Graphic, Trivia Graphic, dan Winner Graphic . Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa Graphic Overlay membantu menyampaikan identitas host dan peserta, informasi lintasan, informasi interaktif dan edukatif, serta hasil kompetisi secara jelas tanpa mengganggu visual utama lomba.
