Abstract

Ragunan Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in Indonesia, plays an important role as a conservation center and educates the public about flora and fauna conservation. Unfortunately, the current logo of Taman Margasatwa Ragunan does not fulfill the scalability aspect, thus negatively impacting its image and existence. The lack of flexibility and efficiency in digital and print promotional media can affect the way visitors perceive the park. The logo as part of the visual identity is very important to support the role and brand image of Taman Margasatwa Ragunan that is strong and effective in the eyes of the public. Therefore, a visual identity redesign is needed to create a measurable identity to improve the image of Ragunan Wildlife Park in the form of a redesign, along with graphic standard guidelines. The method used in this design is gestalt theory, namely continuity, which is supported by the methodology of observation, interviews, and literature studies. The logo design and Graphic Standard Manual have created a measurable identity to improve the image of maintaining existence, and attracting the attention of visitors to Ragunan Zoo.

Taman Margasatwa Ragunan salah satu kebun binatang tertua di Indonesia berperan penting sebagai pusat konservasi dan edukasi masyarakat mengenai pelestarian flora dan fauna. Sayangnya logo Taman Margasatwa Ragunan saat ini belum memenuhi aspek skalabilitas, sehingga berdampak negatif pada citra serta eksistensinya. Kurangnya fleksibilitas dan efisiensi dalam media promosi digital dan cetak dapat mempengaruhi perspektif pengunjung terhadap Taman Margasatwa. Logo sebagai bagian dari identitas visual sangat penting untuk mendukung peran serta citra Taman Margasatwa Ragunan yang kuat dan efektif di mata masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, perancangan ulang identitas visual diperlukan untuk menciptakan identitas yang skalabel guna meningkatkan citra Taman Margasatwa Ragunan dalam bentuk redesign lengkap dengan Graphic Standar Manual. Metode yang diterapkan dalam perancangan ini adalah teori gestalt yaitu continuity, didukung oleh metodologi observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Perancangan logo dan Graphic Standard Manual telah menciptakan identitas yang skalabel guna meningkatkan citra mempertahankan eksistensi, dan menarik perhatian pengunjung Taman Margasatwa Ragunan.
