PENYUNTINGAN MEKANIS DAN DIKSI PADA NASKAH NOVEL "UNREQUITED"

“Unrequited” is a fiction book in the form of a novel that the author and team produced as a final project in the Publishing Study Program. This novel is about romance and mental health (Bipolar and PTSD). The novel also contains illustrations. In connection with the process of making the novel in the final project, the author acts as an editor to correct the errors contained in the novel script "Unrequited". The author explains the editing process in the novel "Unrequited" using the Literature Study and Survey method. The literature review that the author uses is the book Pamusuk Eneste The Smart Book of Manuscript Editing Third Edition and Bambang Trim 200+ Manuscript Editing and Publishing Solutions, and refers to PUEBI and KBBI. In this final project, the author uses a literature study data collection technique with work steps ranging from pre-editing, editing, to post-editing. In the discussion the author describes the mechanical editing and diction. Based on mechanical and diction editing, it was found that there were 71 spelling errors and 10 diction errors.

“Unrequited” merupakan sebuah buku fiksi berupa novel yang penulis dan tim hasilkan sebagai karya tugas akhir pada Program Studi Penerbitan. Dalam novel ini berisi tentang kisah romance dan kesehatan mental (Bipolar dan PTSD). Di novel tersebut juga terdapat ilustrasi. Berkaitan dengan proses pembuatan novel tersebut dalam tugas akhir, penulis berperan sebagai penyunting untuk memperbaiki kesalahan-kesalahan yang terdapat pada naskah novel “Unrequited”. Penulis menjelaskan proses penyuntingan pada novel “Unrequited” dengan metode Studi Pustaka dan Survei. Tinjauan pustaka yang penulis gunakan adalah buku Pamusuk Eneste Buku Pintar Penyuntingan Naskah Edisi Ketiga dan Bambang Trim 200+ Solusi Editing Naskah dan Penebitan, serta mengacu pada PUEBI dan KBBI. Dalam tugas akhir ini, penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data studi pustaka dengan langkah kerja mulai dari pra penyuntingan, penyuntingan, hingga pasca penyuntingan. Dalam pembahasannya penulis mendeskripsikan mengenai penyuntingan mekanis dan diksi. Berdasarkan penyuntingan mekanis dan diksi, ditemukan terdapat 71 kesalahan ejaan dan 10 kesalahan diksi.
