LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR PERAN PENATA KAMERA DALAM TEKNIK PENGAMBILAN GAMBAR PADA PROGRAM TELEVISI TALK SHOW LIVE “TALK OF THE DAY”, EPISODE: FRESH GRADUATE SYNDROME

Type of talk show program which is a conversation to discuss a topic problem by issuing arguments. The author chooses a live talk show program with the theme of young people who can inspire other young audiences, with the program name "Talk of The Day". The purpose of this writing is to find out the role of the camera director in determining the various shooting techniques in the live talk show program “Talk of The Day”, episode: Fresh Graduate Syndrome. This writing uses a descriptive method by means of observation, and literature study that is relevant to the program being made. Camera stylists can not only produce good images, but camera stylists must understand what motivations and information are needed to fulfill image needs (Kusumawati, Haryo, & Artanto, 2015). The role of the camera director during pre-production is being able to understand the script to design shots to be applied during production. At the time of production, the camera stylist operates the designs that have been made. During post-production, the camera stylist tidied up and returned the rented equipment to the rental place. A camera stylist needs a lot of varied shooting knowledge in order to get an interesting picture because a camera stylist has full responsibility for shooting.

Program talk show yang merupakan perbincangan untuk membahas suatu topik masalah dengan mengeluarkan argumentasi. Penulis memilih program talk show live yang bertemakan tentang dewasa awal yang dapat menginspirasi penonton muda lainnya, dengan nama program “Talk of The Day”. Tujuan penulisan ini untuk mengetahui peran penata kamera dalam menentukan teknik pengambilan gambar yang bervariasi dalam program talk show live “Talk of The Day”, episode: Fresh Graduate Syndrome. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan cara observasi, dan studi pustaka yang relevan dengan program yang dibuat. Penata kamera tidak hanya dapat menghasilkan gambar yang baik, tapi seorang penata kamera harus memahami motivasi dan informasi apa saja yang dibutuhkan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gambar (Kusumawati, Haryo, & Artanto, 2015). Peran penata kamera selama pra produksi mampu memahami naskah untuk merancang pengambilan gambar untuk diterapkan pada saat produksi. Pada saat Produksi penata kamera mengoprasikan hasil rancangan yang sudah dibuat. Ketika pasca produksi, penata kamera merapihkan dan mengembalikan alat yang disewa ke tempat sewa. Seorang penata kamera butuh banyak pengetahuan pengambilan gambar dengan variatif agar mendapatkan gambaran yang menarik karna seorang penata kamera mempunyai tanggung jawab penuh atas pengambilan gambar.
