Eksplorasi Pewarna Alam Daun Mangga Dengan Teknik Shibori Pada Perancangan Busana Siap Pakai Di UMKM IKati

The decline in Ikati brand revenue is due to consumer saturation with the colors of the products offered. Consumers hope that there will be additional choices of natural colors that are more varied than before. One plant that has the potential to be explored is mango leaves, because mango leaves contain the green substance chlorophyll and the color pigment mangiferine. which produces a greenish yellow color. Therefore, the author and Ikati wanted to create a new color for Ikati by using mango leaves and designing ready-to-wear clothing using the shibori technique for women aged 26 - 30 years. This research uses an exploratory method with Hasso Platner's design thinking approach which consists of five phases starting from Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, data obtained from interviews, observation and literature review. As a result of the exploration carried out, natural dyes from mango leaves produce natural colors of yellow, green and brown with the final product being ready-to-wear clothing using the shibori technique for women aged 26 - 30 years. It is concluded that the use of natural dyes from mango leaves using the shibori technique can be produced into ready-to-wear clothing for the target market aged 26 - 30 years through the process of designing clothing, dyeing colors, applying shibori techniques, making clothing patterns, changing patterns, breaking patterns, cutting materials, sewing processes, until the completion of the outfit.

Turunnya pendapatan brand Ikati disebabkan karena kejenuhan para konsumen terhadap warna produk yang ditawarkan, konsumen berharap adanya penambahan pilihan warna alam yang lebih bervariasi dari sebelumnya, salah satu tumbuhan yang berpotensi untuk dieksplorasi adalah daun mangga, karena daun mangga mengandung zat hijau klorofil dan pigmen warna mangiferine yang menghasilkan warna kuning kehijauan. Oleh sebab itu penulis bersama ikati ingin membuat warna kebaharuan untuk Ikati dengan memanfaatkan daun mangga dan merancang busana siap pakai menggunakan teknik shibori untuk wanita usia 26 – 30 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksploratif dengan pendekatan design thinking Hasso Platner yang terdiri dari lima fase mulai dari Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Test, data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, observasi dan kajian pustaka. Hasil eksplorasi yang dilakukan, pewarna alam daun mangga menghasilkan warna alam kuning, hijau, hingga coklat dengan produk akhir berupa busana siap pakai dengan teknik shibori untuk wanita usia 26 – 30 tahun. Disimpulkan penggunaan pewarna alam daun mangga dengan teknik shibori dapat diproduksi menjadi busana siap pakai target market usia 26 – 30 tahun melalui proses mendesain busana, pencelupan warna, penerapan teknik shibori, membuat pola busana, merubah pola, pecah pola, memotong bahan, proses penjahitan, hingga penyelesaian busana.
