Abstract

Ibooo is a fashion boutique brand that presents modest wear clothing with a unique
ethnic batik touch. Ibooo has problems related to its product and target market,
which so far has only been modest gamis clothes with the market being adult women
aged 35-55 years. The aim of this research is to create new product designs and
new markets so that it can increase income and increase the variety of product
collections. The exploration used is the Gong si Bolong motif which has been
stylized and combined with traditional Korean hanbok clothing. This research
method is qualitative exploration using Double Design thinking which consists of 4
phases starting from Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver. Results of research
on the development of the Gong si Bolong motif on Modest Wear Hanbok clothing.
The product results are 3 clothing looks in the form of tops or jaegori, skirts or
chima, and trousers which are processed based on the design thinking stages
starting from design analysis, making patterns, breaking patterns, cutting
materials, sewing, fitting to the photoshoot process. So it can be concluded that the
development of the gong si bolong motif in ready-to-wear modest wear hanbok
clothing for women aged 20-35 years with a feminine casula style and traditional
Korean look.

Ibooo adalah brand butik fashion yang menghadirkan pakaian modest wear dengan
sentuhan etnik batik yang unik. Ibooo memiliki permasalahan terkait produk dan
tarket marketnya yang mana selama ini hanya berupa baju modest gamis dengan
pasar wanita dewasa usia 35-55 tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat desain
produk baru dan pasar yang baru sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan serta
menambah variasi koleksi produk. Eksplorasi yang digunakan adalah motif Gong
si Bolong yang telah di stilasi dan dikombinasikan pada busana Korea tradisional
hanbok. Metode penelitian ini kualitatif eksplorasi dengan menggunakan Design
thinking Double yang terdiri dari 4 fase mulai dari Discover, Define, Develop, dan
Deliver. Hasil penelitian pengembangan motif Gong si Bolong pada busana Hanbok
Modest Wear. Hasil Produk adalah 3 look busana berupa atasan atau jaegori, rok
atau chima, dan celana yang diproses berdasarkan tahapan design thinking yang
dimulai dari analisis design, membuat pola, pecah pola, memotong bahan, menjahit,
fitting hingga proses photoshoot. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa
pengembangan motif gong si bolong pada busana hanbok modest wear siap pakai
untuk wanita usia 20-35 tahun dengan style feminine casual dan look Korean
tradisional.
