EKSPLORASI SERAT DAUN NANAS SEBAGAI ELEMEN DEKORATIF BUSANA KERJA READY-TO-WEAR WOMENSWEAR (STUDI KASUS: UKM ALFIBER SUBANG)

UKM (Small and Medium Enterprises) Alfiber in Subang, West Java, which has been established since 2013, actively produces pineapple leaf fibers but faces challenges in the lack of product innovation in the fashion sector. This research aims to diversify products for UKM Alfiber by exploring the utilization of pineapple leaf fibers as decorative elements in ready-to-wear women's work attire. The theories used in this research include textile and material exploration theory and ready-to-wear fashion design theory. The research method employed is qualitative exploration using the Hasso-Plattner design thinking model, which consists of the stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The research results indicate that the textile exploration techniques of quilting, water-soluble, and couching can be alternative methods for processing pineapple leaf fibers that are easier to produce, have aesthetic value, and are more economical in production costs. The research concludes that exploring pineapple leaf fibers with quilting, water-soluble, and couching techniques into ready-to-wear women's work attire for the target market of workers aged 25-30 years is a sustainable solution for the partner's problems.

UKM (Usaha Kecil Menengah) Alfiber di Subang, Jawa Barat, yang telah berdiri sejak 2013 aktif memproduksi serat daun nanas namun menghadapi kendala pada belum ada inovasi produk di bidang fashion. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan diversifikasi produk bagi UKM Alfiber dengan melakukan eksplorasi pemanfaatan serat daun nanas sebagai elemen dekoratif pada busana kerja wanita siap pakai. Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini mencakup teori eksplorasi tekstil dan material dan teori perancangan busana siap pakai. bab penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif eksplorasi dengan pendekatan design thinking model Hasso-Plattner yang terdiri dari tahapan Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Test. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan bahwa teknik eksplorasi tekstil quilting, water soluble, dan couching yang dilakukan dapat menjadi alternatif pengolahan serat daun nanas yang lebih mudah untuk diproduksi, memiliki nilai estetika, serta biaya produksi yang lebih ekonomis. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa eksplorasi serat daun nanas dengan teknik quilting, water soluble, dan couching menjadi busana kerja wanita siap pakai untuk target market pekerja dengan usia 25-30 tahun merupakan solusi permasalahan mitra yang memiliki nilai sustainability.
