Abstract

The development of the Walk With Us game was motivated by the fact that there
are still very few 3D puzzle games that discuss themes regarding the problem of
waste and the traffic environment for pedestrians. In making this game, we used the
Game Development Life Cycle method with several stages. First, initiation, where
all team members discuss and share ideas with each other to develop game concepts
such as mechanics, visuals, assets and stories. Then pre-production is carried out
by designing wireframes and Game Design Documents as basic references in the
game. Production, all members work according to their respective roles. At this
stage, the author is responsible for creating the map design and obstacles at each
level which will later become the background for the game to run. Lastly there is
alpha and beta testing. After completing the game to the development stage, testing
was carried out by giving the game files to respondents, and they were given a
questionnaire regarding their playing experience. The Walk With Us game also
received good reviews from players. It is hoped that this game can have a positive
side, apart from entertaining players, it can also increase public awareness
regarding waste and the traffic environment for pedestrians.

Pengembangan game Walk With Us dilatarbelakangi karena masih sedikitnya game
puzzle 3d yang membahas tema mengenai masalah sampah dan lingkungan lalu
lintas bagi pejalan kaki. Dalam pembuatan game ini menggunakan metode Game
Development Life Cycle dengan beberapa tahapan. Pertama initiation, dimana
seluruh anggota tim berdiskusi dan saling berbagi ide untuk mengembangkan
konsep permainan seperti mekanik, visual, asset, dan cerita. Lalu pre-production,
dilakukan dengan merancang wireframe dan Game Design Document sebagai
acuan dasar dalam game. Production, seluruh anggota bekerja sesuai role-nya
masing-masing. Pada tahap ini, penulis bertanggung jawab dalam pembuatan
desain map serta rintangan pada setiap level yang nantinya akan menjadi latar
tempat game ini berjalan. Terakhir ada alpha dan beta testing. Setelah
menyelesaikan game hingga tahap pengembangan, dilakukanlah pengujian dengan
memberikan berkas game kepada responden, dan mereka diberikan kuisioner
mengenai pengalaman bermain. Game Walk With Us pun mendapatkan penilaian
yang baik oleh para pemain. Game ini diharapkan dapat memiliki sisi positif selain
menghibur pemain, juga dapat meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat mengenai
sampah dan lingkungan lalu lintas bagi pejalan kaki.
