EKSPLORASI MOTIF BATIK YANG TERINSPIRASI DARI KOMUNITAS “POTADS” PADA PERANCANGAN BUSANA READY TO WEAR UNISEX, (STUDI KASUS : RUMAH BATIK PALBATU)

Masalah yang dihadapi oleh Rumah Batik Palbatu adalah perlunya memperluas pasar ready to wear unisex. Selain itu, rumah batik ini memerlukan inovasi pada motif batik dengan cara menerima tawaran kolaborasi dari komunitas "POTADS" sebagai sumber inspirasi eksplorasi yang sejalan dengan identitas perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi motif batik yang terinspirasi oleh komunitas "POTADS", dengan tujuan memenuhi permintaan pasar fashion ready to wear unisex saat ini. Teori yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik cap dan teknik tulis batik, eksplorasi motif batik untuk down syndrome dengan pola stilasi, serta penempatan motif secara digital yang terinspirasi utama oleh motif batik down syndrome. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan model design thinking dari Hasso Plattner. Temuan dari penelitian mengenai motif batik untuk down syndrome menunjukkan bahwa penggabungan elemen batik yang terinspirasi oleh metode digital menghasilkan motif dengan teknik cap dan teknik tulis yang memiliki ciri khas yang unik serta nilai estetik yang tinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa eksplorasi motif batik yang terinspirasi oleh komunitas "POTADS" dapat menjadi identitas kultural perusahaan dan memiliki daya saing yang kuat di pasar fashion batik, khususnya dalam segmen pakaian siap pakai unisex.

The problem faced by Rumah Batik Palbatu is the need to expand its target market for ready-to-wear unisex clothing. In addition, Rumah Batik Palbatu needs to innovate its batik motifs by accepting collaboration offers from the “POTADS” community as a source of inspiration for exploration in line with the company's identity. This study aims to explore batik motifs inspired by the “POTADS” community, with the goal of meeting the current market demand for ready-to-wear unisex fashion. The theories applied in this study include batik stamping techniques and batik writing techniques, exploration of batik motifs for Down syndrome using stylized patterns, and digital placement of motifs primarily inspired by Down syndrome batik motifs. The method used is the design thinking model approach from Hasso Plattner. Findings from the research on Down syndrome batik motifs indicate that combining batik elements inspired by digital methods produces motifs with stamping and writing techniques that have unique characteristics and high aesthetic value. The conclusion of this research is that the exploration of batik motifs inspired by the “POTADS” community can serve as a cultural identity for the company and possess strong competitive advantages in the batik fashion market, particularly in the unisex ready-to-wear clothing segment.
