PERAN EDITOR MENERAPKAN ALTERNATIVE TO CONTINUITY EDITING DOKUMENTER TELEVISI “WARISAN BUDAYA NUSANTARA : KEARIFAN LOKAL TRADISI NGLANGSE & MERTI SUMBER”

Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan peran editor menerapkan alternative to
continuity editing pada program dokumenter televisi yang berjudul “Warisan
Budaya Nusantara” yang mengangkat informasi tentang budaya di Indonesia yang
dapat melestarikan alam. Dalam menyebarkan informasi dan edukasi, program
televisi memiliki peran penting untuk menyebarkan ragam budaya di Indonesia.
Proses pengerjaan sebuah program, peranan tim kerja sangatlah penting. Salah satu
dari tim kerja tersebut yaitu Editor. Editor merupakan seseorang yang menyatukan
elemen menjadi kesatuan elemen yang utuh (Fahcruddin, 2017:173). Dengan
adanya peran editor, dapat dibagi atas tugas serta metode dan teknik seorang editor
video yang digunakan dalam mengedit program “Warisan Budaya Nusantara”.
Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui pedoman observasi dan
studi pustaka. Adapun tugas seorang editor video pada program “Warisan Budaya
Nusantara” adalah melakukan pemotongan gambar, penyusunan gambar, mengolah
suara, membuat grafis, hingga melakukan pewarnaan pada gambar. Kemudian,
penulis menggunakan teknik editing dalam program “Warisan Budaya Nusantara”
yaitu non-linear editing. Penulis menggunakan software Adobe Family, karena
software ini sangat mudah untuk saling terintergasi satu sama lain. Penulis berharap
akan menemukan sebuah kreativitas dan inovasi baru tentang konsep editing yang
menarik untuk program dokumenter televisi “Warisan Budaya Nusantara”.

This writing aims to showcase the role of the editor in applying alternative to
continuity editing to a television documentary program entitled “Nusantara
Cultural Heritage” that raises information about culture in Indonesia that can
preserve nature. In disseminating information and education, television
programmes have an important role to play in spreading cultural diversity in
Indonesia. The process of drawing up a program, the role of the team is very
important. One such team is the Editor. The Editor is someone who unites elements
into a unity of integral elements (Fahcruddin,2017:173). With the role of editor, it
is divided over the tasks as well as methods and techniques of a video editor used
in editing the program “Nusantara Cultural Heritage”. The data collection
technique used is through the guidelines of observation study of the library and
viewing the video reference. As for the task of the video editor in the programme
“Nusantara Cultural heritage” is to perform the cutting of images, compiling
images, processing sounds, making graphics, to do coloring on images. Later, the
author used editing techniques in the "Nusantara Cultural Heritage" program,
which is non-linear editing. The author uses Adobe Family software, because it's
so easy to interact with each other. The author hopes to find a new creativity and
innovation about the interesting editing concept for the television documentary
program “Nusantara Cultural Heritage”.
