Abstract

The concept of unisex was first introduced by Rudi Gernreich in 1960, which later
inspired fashion trends related to gender equality, including androgynous and
genderless fashion. Dots Indonesia, a fashion brand established in 2019, has
focused on developing products with the concept of sustainability and preserving
Indonesian culture. Dots Indonesia faces challenges in developing women's
products towards unisex. One of the proposed solutions is to reuse leftover
production fabrics through patchwork techniques and embroidery motifs, which not
only reduce waste but also add aesthetic value to ready-to-wear unisex clothing.
Fabric manipulation techniques such as patchwork and embroidery motifs, The
selection of motifs, such as chicken bowls and chickens, which have proven popular
among consumers, can strengthen brand identity and increase product appeal. By
integrating fabric manipulation techniques and distinctive motifs in the
development of a ready-to-wear unisex fashion collection.

yang kemudian mengilhami trend fashion terkait kesetaraan gender, termasuk
androgynous dan genderless fashion. Dots Indonesia sebuah brand fashion yang

keberlanjutan dan pelestarian kebudayaan Indonesia. Dots Indonesia menghadapi
menambah nilai estetika pada busana unisex ready to wear. Teknik manipulasi kain
seperti patchwork dan motif bordir, Pemilihan motif, seperti mangkok ayam dan
ayam, yang telah terbukti populer di kalangan konsumen, dapat memperkuat
