PERANCANGAN STORYBOARD DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS NARASI PADA PRODUKSI VIDEO DOKUMENTER RAMBU SOLO

This final project discusses the Design of a Storyboard to Enhance Narrative Quality in the Production of a Rambu Solo Documentary Video in Tana Toraja. The main objective of this design is to create a visual guide that strengthens the storyline and helps convey cultural messages more clearly and communicatively. The techniques used include literature study, direct observation, and interviews with traditional leaders and documentary practitioners. The design outcome is presented in the form of a digital storyboard containing elements such as scene sequences, illustrations, scene descriptions, narration, technical notes, and layout. The design process was carried out using Adobe Illustrator to produce visuals that are neat, consistent, and aligned with the cultural context of Toraja. Based on evaluations conducted with documentary practitioners, the storyboard was found to be effective in enhancing the narrative quality of the Rambu Solo documentary video production.

Penulisan tugas akhir ini membahas Perancangan Storyboard dalam Meningkatkan Kualitas Narasi pada Produksi Video Dokumenter Rambu Solo di Tana Toraja. Tujuan utama perancangan ini adalah menciptakan panduan visual yang mampu memperkuat alur cerita dan membantu penyampaian pesan budaya secara lebih jelas dan komunikatif. Teknik yang digunakan meliputi studi pustaka, observasi langsung, dan wawancara dengan tokoh adat serta praktisi dokumenter. Hasil perancangan diwujudkan dalam bentuk storyboard digital yang berisi elemen-elemen seperti urutan adegan, ilustrasi, deskripsi adegan, narasi, catatan teknis, dan tata letak. Proses perancangan dilakukan menggunakan Adobe Illustrator untuk menghasilkan visual yang rapi, konsisten, dan sesuai dengan konteks budaya Toraja. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian bersama praktisi dokumenter, storyboard ini dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas narasi pada produksi video dokumenter rambu solo.
