PENERAPAN GERAK FIGUR DALAM MISE EN SCENE OLEH PROGRAM DIRECTOR PADA PROGRAM TALKSHOW “CHECK COK KOST”

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini membahas peran Program Director dalam produksi program talkshow bertema
kehidupan mahasiswa laki-laki berjudul Check Cok Kost yang menggunakan teknik
multicamera recording. Program ini dirancang untuk membahas realitas mahasiswa laki-laki
melalui pendekatan visual yang dinamis dan komunikatif, sekaligus mengatasi kendala
kekakuan ekspresi talent dalam penyampaian acara. Dalam produksi ini, Program Director
bertanggung jawab atas seluruh tahapan proses, mulai dari pra-produksi, produksi, hingga
pasca-produksi, termasuk penerapan gerak figur (figure movement) pada mise en scene,
pengaturan blocking kamera, serta pengawasan terhadap kualitas visual. Melalui observasi,
wawancara, dan studi pustaka, hasil produksi terbukti mampu menyajikan ekspresi talent yang
natural dan tampilan visual yang dinamis sesuai dengan konsep. Studi ini diharapkan dapat
menjadi referensi dalam produksi program sejenis, terutama dalam kondisi kurangnya
eksplorasi blocking namun tetap mengedepankan kualitas tayangan.

ABSTRACK
This study discusses the role of the Program Director in producing a male college student
lifestyle talk show titled Check Cok Kost, which applies a multicamera technique recording.
The program is designed to discuss the realities of male college students' lives through a
dynamic and communicative visual approach while overcoming the challenges of static visuals
and stiff talent expressions. In this production, the Program Director is responsible for
overseeing all stages of the process from pre-production, production, to post-production
including the application of figure movement, camera blocking arrangements, and supervision
of overall visual quality. Through observation, interviews, and literature study, the final output
successfully delivers natural talent expressions and dynamic visuals that align with the
program’s concept. This study is expected to serve as a reference for similar television
productions, especially in situations with limited blocking exploration but high creative
demands.
