PENULISAN KREATIF NASKAH NOVELET “LANGKAH KECIL RARA”

This final project is titled “Langkah Kecil Rara” (Rara’s Small Steps), a young adult fiction novelette with a touch of romance that explores the theme of independent women. The work was inspired by the growing number of women striving for independence in education, career, and social life, while still facing various societal demands and patriarchal views. Drawing on Trim’s (2023) creative writing theory, the creative process involved five stages: idea generation, pre-writing, drafting, revising, and self-editing. A descriptive method was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as literature review, surveys, and interviews. The results indicate that applying these creative writing stages successfully produced the novelette “Langkah Kecil Rara”, comprising 15 chapters with a systematically structured plot developed through themes, characters, conflict, and setting. The process yielded a work that represents the struggles of young women in establishing independence amidst life's various challenges. Thus, the application of Trim’s (2023) creative writing stages guided the author in structuring the manuscript effectively, resulting in a cohesive work that aligns with the intended creative goals.

Tugas akhir ini berjudul “Langkah Kecil Rara”, sebuah novelet fiksi bergenre fiksi remaja dengan sentuhan romance yang mengangkat tema perempuan mandiri (independent women). Ide penulisan karya ini dilatarbelakangi oleh semakin banyaknya perempuan yang berusaha mencapai kemandirian dalam pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan kehidupan sosial, tetapi masih menghadapi berbagai tuntutan serta pandangan patriarki di masyarakat. Mengacu pada teori penulisan kreatif Trim (2023), proses penciptaan karya dilakukan melalui lima tahap, yaitu penemuan ide, pramenulis, menulis draf, merevisi draf, dan swasunting. Metode pelaksanaannya menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi pustaka, survei, dan wawancara. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan tahapan penulisan kreatif tersebut menghasilkan sebuah novelet berjudul “Langkah Kecil Rara” yang terdiri atas 15 bab dengan alur yang disusun secara sistematis melalui pengembangan tema, tokoh, konflik, dan latar. Proses tersebut berhasil menghasilkan karya yang merepresentasikan perjuangan perempuan muda dalam membangun kemandirian di tengah berbagai tantangan kehidupan. Dengan demikian, penerapan tahapan penulisan kreatif Trim (2023) membantu penulis menyusun naskah secara terarah hingga menghasilkan karya yang utuh dan sesuai dengan tujuan penciptaan.
