Abstract
ABSTRACT
Coral reefs are among the most important marine ecosystems, playing a significant role in maintaining coastal environmental balance. However, climate change, pollution, and human activities have contributed to coral reef degradation, making restoration efforts increasingly necessary. This final project aims to develop a 3D simulation game, Coral Reef Restoration, as an educational medium for introducing the coral reef restoration process. The game was developed using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) method, supported by the concepts of educational games and coral reef restoration. The development process consisted of the Initiation, Pre-Production, Production, Alpha Testing, Beta Testing, and Release stages. The resulting game simulates the main stages of coral reef restoration, including coral fragment collection, coral cultivation on growing media, maintenance, and transplantation to restoration sites. The results of the alpha testing showed that all major features functioned as designed, while the beta testing yielded an overall average score of 94.53%, which was rated as Excellent. Therefore, the developed game is considered suitable as an educational medium for introducing the coral reef restoration process.

ABSTRAK
Terumbu karang merupakan salah satu ekosistem laut yang berperan penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan pesisir. Namun, perubahan iklim, pencemaran, dan aktivitas manusia menyebabkan penurunan kondisi terumbu karang sehingga diperlukan upaya restorasi. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan mengembangkan game simulasi 3D Coral Reef Restoration sebagai media edukasi mengenai proses restorasi terumbu karang. Pengembangan game dilakukan menggunakan metode Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) dengan landasan teori game sebagai media edukasi dan restorasi terumbu karang. Proses pengembangan meliputi tahap Initiation, Pre-Production, Production, Alpha Testing, Beta Testing, dan Release. Hasil pengembangan berupa game yang mensimulasikan tahapan restorasi terumbu karang mulai dari pengambilan fragmen karang, pembesaran pada growing medium, pemeliharaan, hingga transplantasi karang ke area restorasi. Hasil Alpha Testing menunjukkan seluruh fitur utama berjalan sesuai rancangan, sedangkan hasil Beta Testing memperoleh nilai rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 94,53% dengan kategori Sangat Baik. Dengan demikian, game yang dikembangkan dinilai layak sebagai media edukasi mengenai proses restorasi terumbu karang.
