Perancangan Desain Sampul Naskah Novelet "Mereka Sebut Aku Lemah" Dengan Pendekatan Psikologi Warna

This final project discusses the cover design of a novelette manuscript entitled Mereka Sebut Aku Lemah using a color psychology approach. The purpose of this project is to create a cover design that is able to represent the psychological condition of the main character while conveying the emotional atmosphere contained in the story. The novelette raises the theme of bullying, focusing on emotional distress, low self-esteem, and the main character’s journey of overcoming adversity. The methods used in this project include literature review, visual reference collection, and manuscript analysis through observation of the novelette synopsis as the basis for developing the cover design concept. The color psychology approach was applied through the use of colors that were adjusted to the emotional condition of the main character and the theme of the story. The result of this project is a novelette cover design and book mockup that are able to represent the emotional atmosphere, strengthen the visual identity of the work, and support the delivery of the story’s content to readers. Through this design project, it is expected that the novelette Mereka Sebut Aku Lemah will have stronger visual appeal and provide prospective readers with an initial understanding of the story.

Tugas akhir ini membahas tentang perancangan desain sampul naskah novelet berjudul Mereka Sebut Aku Lemah dengan pendekatan psikologi warna. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan desain sampul yang mampu merepresentasikan kondisi psikologis tokoh utama serta menyampaikan suasana emosional yang terdapat dalam cerita. Novelet ini mengangkat tema perundungan (bullying) yang berfokus pada tekanan emosional, rasa rendah diri, dan proses bangkit dari keterpurukan yang dialami tokoh utama. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini meliputi studi pustaka, pengumpulan referensi visual, dan analisis naskah melalui observasi terhadap sinopsis novelet sebagai dasar dalam pengembangan konsep desain sampul. Pendekatan psikologi warna diterapkan melalui penggunaan warna yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi emosional tokoh utama dan tema cerita. Hasil dari perancangan ini berupa desain sampul novelet dan mockup buku yang mampu merepresentasikan suasana emosional, memperkuat identitas visual karya, serta mendukung penyampaian isi cerita kepada pembaca. Dengan adanya perancangan ini, diharapkan novelet Mereka Sebut Aku Lemah memiliki daya tarik visual yang lebih kuat dan mampu memberikan gambaran awal mengenai isi cerita kepada calon pembaca.
