Abstract
The lack of understanding regarding water sanitation techniques at the elementary
school level motivates the creation of an interactive digital artwork in the form of
the 3D educational game "Water Hunter". This research and development aim to
design learning media simulating three simple water purification methods bottle
filtration, solar distillation, and water boiling and to evaluate its software
engineering functionality. Acting as the game programmer, the development was
executed using the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) methodology,
implementing modular script architecture and onion design. This approach aims to
build a stable gameflow, minimize code coupling, and optimize game mechanics.
Cognitive evaluation measuring educational effectiveness (Pre-test and Post-test)
on 31 elementary school students was analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test.
The results demonstrated a highly significant increase in understanding, with the
average score escalating from 69.68 to 86.45 (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). Meanwhile,
system functionality testing using a dichotomous questionnaire (Guttman Scale)
achieved a technical feasibility percentage of 94.19%, proving that the application
is free from fatal errors and runs smoothly on user devices following the bug fixing
phase. In conclusion, "Water Hunter" is proven to be technically highly reliable
and effectively functions as an interactive edutainment output to enhance clean
water sanitation literacy.

Rendahnya pemahaman mengenai teknik sanitasi air di tingkat sekolah dasar
melatarbelakangi penciptaan karya seni digital interaktif berupa game edukasi 3D
"Water Hunter".
literasi sanitasi air bersih.
