PENYUNTINGAN NASKAH NOVELET "LOST IN THE CHAT" DITINJAU DARI PERSPKTIF BENTUK-BENTUK KEKELIRUAN PENYUNTINGAN

Novelet “Lost in the Chat” bertema hubungan virtual di kalangan remaja dan
dewasa awal merupakan karya tugas akhir yang disunting oleh penulis. Dalam tugas
akhir ini, penulis berperan sebagai penyunting naskah. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan
menguraikan bentuk-bentuk kekeliruan, menjelaskan proses penyuntingan, serta
menyajikan hasil akhir naskah suntingan “Lost in the Chat”. Penulis menggunakan
teori penerbitan, penyuntingan, perspektif penyuntingan, bentuk-bentuk kekeliruan,
kegiatan dasar penyuntingan, dan naskah. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi
pustaka dengan menerapkan tahapan prapenyuntingan, penyuntingan, dan
pascapenyuntingan. Pada pembahasan, penulis mengidentifikasi bentuk-bentuk
kekeliruan, kemudian melakukan penyuntingan berdasarkan bentuk kekeliruan
tersebut. Hasil penyuntingan menunjukkan sebanyak 65 data yang terdiri atas 22
substitusi, 20 adisi, 20 omisi, 2 transposisi, dan 1 interseksi. Penulis melakukan
kegiatan dasar penyuntingan berupa 22 penggantian, 20 pengurangan, 20
penambahan, 2 pemosisian, serta 1 gabungan kegiatan pengurangan dan
penambahan. Perbaikan tersebut mencakup ejaan, tanda baca, pilihan kata, huruf,
spasi, struktur kalimat, serta ilustrasi sehingga menghasilkan naskah akhir yang
lebih jelas, sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa Indonesia, dan lebih nyaman dibaca oleh
remaja maupun dewasa awal.

The novelette “Lost in the Chat”, which explores the theme of virtual relationships
among teenagers and young adults, is the final project edited by the author. In this
final project, the author served as the manuscript editor. This final project aims to
identify the types of editing errors, explain the editing process, and present the final
edited version of the “Lost in the Chat” manuscript. The study employed theories
of publishing, editing, editing perspectives, error classification, basic editing
activities, and manuscripts. The research method used was a literature review by
applying the stages of pre-editing, editing, and post-editing. In the discussion, the
author identified the types of editing errors and carried out the editing process
based on those errors. The editing results revealed a total of 65 errors, consisting
of 22 substitutions, 20 additions, 20 omissions, 2 transpositions, and 1 intersection.
The author carried out basic editing activities in the form of 22 replacements, 20
deletions, 20 insertions, 2 repositionings, and 1 combination of deletion and
insertion. The revisions covered spelling, punctuation, word choice, letters,
spacing, sentence structure, and illustrations, resulting in a final manuscript that is
clearer, complies with the conventions of the Indonesian language, and is more
comfortable to read for teenagers and young adults.
