Abstract
The high level of water pollution in Indonesia and the limited public understanding of water filtration processes highlight the need for educational media that can deliver information in an engaging and easily understandable manner. Educational games were chosen because they provide an interactive learning experience through gameplay. This final project focuses on the development of low-poly 3D visual assets for the educational game Water Hunter. The author served as the game artist, responsible for designing environmental assets, water filtration equipment, solar distillation equipment, water boiling equipment, and other supporting assets. The low-poly style was selected because of its simple forms, easily recognizable visual characteristics, and suitability for users of various age groups. This study employed the Design Thinking method, which consists of the empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and testing stages. The evaluation was conducted through a questionnaire involving 31 elementary school students to obtain feedback on the game's visual aspects. The evaluation results achieved a score of 93,89%, indicating that the developed visual assets were considered visually appealing, easily recognizable, and effective in supporting information delivery within the game. Therefore, the low-poly 3D visual assets developed for Water Hunter successfully support the delivery of educational content on obtaining clean water in a clear and understandable manner. Tingginya tingkat pencemaran air di Indonesia serta rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai proses filtrasi air menunjukkan perlunya media edukasi yang mampu menyampaikan informasi secara menarik dan mudah dipahami. Gim edukasi dipilih karena dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif melalui aktivitas bermain. Tugas akhir ini berfokus pada pengembangan aset visual 3 dimensi bergaya low poly pada gim edukasi Water Hunter. Penulis berperan sebagai game artist yang bertanggung jawab dalam perancangan aset lingkungan, alat filtrasi air, alat distilasi surya, alat perebus air, serta aset pendukung lainnya. Gaya low poly dipilih karena bentuknya sederhana, mudah dikenali, ramah bagi berbagai kelompok usia. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan Design Thinking yang terdiri atas tahap empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Pengujian dilakukan melalui kuesioner terhadap 31 siswa sekolah dasar untuk memperoleh umpan balik mengenai aspek visual gim. Hasil pengujian memperoleh persentase sebesar 93,89%, yang menunjukkan bahwa aset visual yang dikembangkan dinilai menarik, mudah dikenali, serta mendukung penyampaian informasi dalam gim. Dengan demikian, aset visual 3 dimensi bergaya low poly pada gim Water Hunter berhasil dikembangkan dan mampu mendukung penyampaian materi edukasi mengenai cara memperoleh air bersih secara jelas dan mudah dipahami.
