Koleksi Busana Motif Baduy Modern Exotic Casual dalam Penerapan Three Point Lighting

Fashion photography is not just a medium for displaying clothing products, but rather a visual communication instrument capable of documenting the aesthetic value and identity of a fashion work. This final project aims to visualize the Exotic Casual fashion collection by five designers carrying the Modern Ethnic theme. This non-commercial collection is a combination of the richness of traditional Baduy batik motifs with Japanese Toyobo fabrics designed with a contemporary concept. The main problem raised is the lack of visual documentation in the form of a strong portfolio catalog to publish and archive this fashion collection to the wider public with a modern and stylish aesthetic. The implementation method in this final project is carried out through a fashion catalog photography approach in an indoor studio. The production process involves the use of Three Point Lighting lighting techniques to produce bright, clean visuals and clearly highlight the details of the fabric texture. The shooting was carried out by applying the rule of thirds and center composition to create visual harmony. Through a selection process and digital injection using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop software, 15 final photographs were produced that display the character of the fashion in an informative and artistic manner. The conclusion of this final assignment shows that the Exotic Casual fashion collection has been successfully visualized aesthetically in the form of a catalog of works, so that it can be a means of documentation and a medium to introduce Baduy heritage motifs to the realm of modern fashion today.

Fotografi fashion bukan sekadar media untuk menampilkan produk pakaian, melainkan instrumen komunikasi visual yang mampu mendokumentasikan nilai estetika dan identitas dari sebuah karya busana. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk memvisualisasikan koleksi busana Exotic Casual karya lima desainer yang mengusung tema Modern Ethnic. Koleksi non-komersial ini merupakan perpaduan antara kekayaan kain tradisional motif batik Baduy dengan kain Toyobo khas Jepang yang didesain dengan konsep kontemporer. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat adalah belum adanya dokumentasi visual berupa katalog portofolio yang kuat untuk mempresentasikan dan mengarsipkan koleksi busana ini kepada masyarakat luas dengan estetika yang modern dan stylish. Metode pelaksanaan dalam tugas akhir ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan fotografi fashion katalog di studio indoor. Proses produksi melibatkan penggunaan teknik pencahayaan Three Point Lighting untuk menghasilkan visual yang terang, bersih, dan menonjolkan detail tekstur kain secara jelas. Pengambilan gambar dilakukan dengan menerapkan komposisi rule of thirds dan center untuk menciptakan harmoni visual. Melalui proses seleksi dan penyuntingan digital menggunakan perangkat lunak Adobe Lightroom dan Photoshop, dihasilkan 15 karya foto final yang menampilkan karakter busana secara informatif dan artistik. Kesimpulan dari tugas akhir ini menunjukkan bahwa koleksi busana Exotic Casual berhasil divisualisasikan secara estetis dalam bentuk katalog karya, sehingga dapat menjadi sarana dokumentasi serta media untuk memperkenalkan warisan motif Baduy ke ranah fashion modern masa kini.
