PERANCANGAN PROTOTIPE APLIKASI INNEDUCA SEBAGAI MEDIA INFORMASI DAN SIMULASI PERSIAPAN MAGANG DI INDUSTRI PERHOTELAN

ABSTRAK
The gap between academic learning and the practical demands of the hospitality industry leaves Hotel Management students insufficiently prepared for internships, particularly in understanding hotel operations, workplace culture, and professional competencies. This study aims to design the InnEduca application prototype as an information and pre-internship simulation medium for Hotel Management students. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method based on ISO 9241-210, with data collected through interviews, documentation studies, and expert judgement. The resulting prototype includes department information, hospitality terminology, operational equipment guides, interactive quizzes, phonetic alphabet, interview and CV preparation, Hotel Star, Linked Industry, and other supporting learning materials presented through an 8-bit visual theme. Expert judgement indicated that the prototype is feasible for use with several revisions to improve the content and interface design. The InnEduca application prototype design resulted in an informational and simulation-based medium to support internship preparation for students of the Hospitality Management Study Program.

Kesenjangan antara pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi dan kebutuhan praktik di industri perhotelan menyebabkan mahasiswa Program Studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan belum sepenuhnya siap menghadapi program magang, terutama dalam memahami operasional hotel, budaya kerja, dan kompetensi profesional. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang prototipe aplikasi InnEduca sebagai media informasi dan simulasi persiapan magang bagi mahasiswa Program Studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode User-Centered Design (UCD) berdasarkan ISO 9241-210, melalui pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan expert judgement. Prototipe yang dihasilkan memuat fitur informasi departemen hotel, glosarium istilah perhotelan, pengenalan perlengkapan operasional, kuis interaktif, phonetic alphabet, panduan wawancara kerja, penyusunan CV, Hotel Star, Linked Industry, serta materi pendukung lainnya yang dikemas dalam tema visual 8-bit. Hasil expert judgement menunjukkan bahwa prototipe dinyatakan layak digunakan dengan beberapa penyempurnaan pada konten dan desain antarmuka. Rancangan prototipe aplikasi InnEduca menghasilkan media informasi dan simulasi sebagai pendukung persiapan magang mahasiswa Program Studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan.
