AKTIVITAS PENDIDIKAN BAGI SEORANG PENYANDANG DISABILITAS INTELEKTUAL MELALUI PENDEKATAN FOTOGRAFI CERITA

Proses penciptaan foto tugas akhir ini adalah memvisualisasikan aktivitas pendidikan bagi seorang penyandang disabilitas intelektual melalui pendekatan fotografi cerita. Karya foto ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai potensi seorang disabilitas intelektual, sebagai sarana edukasi dan pemberdayaan. Pendekatan teori yang penulis lakukan mencakup pengertian dasar fotografi, genre fotografi jurnalistik dan fotografi cerita, teknik fotografi, dan pengertian dari disabilitas intelektual. Teknik pengumpulan data pada karya tugas akhir ini menggunakan observasi langsung dilapangan, studi pustaka mencakup teori fotografi, dan wawancara kepada yang kredibel. Langkah kerja dalam penciptaan karya tugas akhir ini meliputi pra produksi, produksi, dan paska produksi. Hasil karya tugas akhir ini berupa 15 rangkaian fotografi cerita yang mencakup aktivitas pendidikan formal di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB), lalu pendidikan informal seperti bina diri dirumah dan juga non-formal yaitu aktivitas pada saat latihan renang.

The process of creating this final project photo is to visualize educational activities for a person with intellectual disabilities through a narrative photography approach. This photographic work is expected to increase public understanding of the potential of a person with intellectual disabilities, as a means of education and empowerment. The theoritical approach that the author uses includes the basic understanding of photography, the genre of journalistic photography and narrative photography, photography techniques, and the definition of intellectual disability. The data collection technique in this final project uses direct observation in the field, literature studies including photography theory, and interviews with credibel sources. The work steps in creating this final project include pre-production, production, and post-production. The result of this final project are in the form of 15 series of narrative photography that cover formal educational activities in Special School (SLB), then informal educational such as self-development at home and also non-formal activities such as activities during swimming practice.
