PERAN PENATA KAMERA DALAM PENERAPAN TEKNIK KOMPOSISI RULE OF THIRDS PADA PROGRAM LIVE MUSIC SESSIONATTE

Kualitas visual merupakan aspek krusial dalam program live music untuk memberikan pengalaman menonton yang mendalam bagi audiens. Namun, dinamika pergerakan penampil yang tinggi serta keterbatasan ruang produksi sering kali menjadi hambatan bagi penata kamera dalam menjaga kestabilan komposisi gambar. Laporan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran penata kamera dalam menerapkan teknik komposisi Rule of Thirds pada produksi program live music Sessionatte. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan terdiri dari teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan utama yaitu proses pelaksanaan dimulai dari tahap persiapan melalui identifikasi kebutuhan visual, perancangan floor plan, dan penyusunan dokumen shot list. Selanjutnya pada tahap pelaksanaan, dilakukan simulasi penempatan tiga unit kamera serta pengujian blocking pergerakan operator secara langsung di lokasi Kios Ojo Keos. Langkah kerja diakhiri dengan tahap evaluasi terhadap hasil simulasi untuk merumuskan rencana cadangan teknis sebelum produksi dimulai. Hasil akhir dari proses pelaksanaan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik Rule of Thirds secara terencana mampu menciptakan keseimbangan visual yang dinamis, mengarahkan fokus audiens kepada penampil, dan menghasilkan tayangan yang komunikatif serta estetis.

Visual quality is a crucial aspect of live music programs to provide an immersive viewing experience for the audience. However, the high dynamics of performer movements and the limitations of the production space often present obstacles for camera operators in maintaining a stable image composition. This final project aims to describe the role of the camera operator in applying the Rule of Thirds composition technique in the production of the live music program Sessionatte. The execution method used consists of data collection techniques including observation, literature study, and interviews, as well as production work steps divided into three main stages. The execution process begins with the preparation stage through identifying visual needs, designing floor plans, and compiling a shot list document. Next, during the implementation stage, a simulation of placing three camera units and testing the operator's movement blocking was conducted directly at the Kios Ojo Keos location. The work steps concluded with an evaluation stage of the simulation results to formulate a technical backup plan before production begins. The final result of the execution process shows that the planned application of the Rule of Thirds technique is capable of creating a dynamic visual balance, directing audience focus toward the performer, and producing a communicative and aesthetically pleasing broadcast.
