PERANCANGAN DESAIN SAMPUL, ILUSTRASI, DAN TATA LETAK BUKU ANAK “KISAH DIGO DI LAUT LENGKUAS”

“Kisah Digo di Laut Lengkuas” is a fictional children's book about sea animals
with the theme of friendship. In its preparation, the author acted as a cover design
designer, illustrator and layout artist. This final assignment aims to explain the
cover design, illustrations and layout of the children's book “Kisah Digo di Laut
Lengkuas”. The literature that the author uses to design the cover design and layout
refers to (Hendratman, 2017: 22-25), illustration with theory (Nalendra, 2018: 62).
The author uses a data collection method, namely literature study. Apart from that,
the author explains the work steps for creating the cover design, illustrations and
layout included in the contents of the book. At the discussion stage, cover design is
carried out in pre-production, production and post-production stages. Book
illustrations are arranged in the stages of idea, sketching and coloring. Meanwhile,
layout is carried out in pre-production, production and post-production stages. In
conclusion, with these stages, the author has prepared the cover design,
illustrations and layout with the final result in the form of a dummy product for the
children's fiction book “Kisah Digo di Laut Lengkuas”.

“Kisah Digo di Laut Lengkuas” adalah buku fiksi anak mengenai hewan laut yang
bertemakan persahabatan. Pada penyusunannya, penulis berperan sebagai
perancang desain sampul, ilustrator, dan penata letak. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan
untuk menjelaskan perancangan desain sampul, ilustrasi, dan tata letak buku fiksi
anak “Kisah Digo di Laut Lengkuas”. Pustaka yang penulis gunakan untuk
perancangan desain sampul dan tata letak merujuk (Hendratman, 2017: 22-25),
ilustrasi dengan teori (Nalendra, 2018: 62). Penulis menggunakan metode
pengumpulan data, yaitu studi pustaka. Selain itu penulis menjelaskan langkah
kerja pembuatan desain sampul, ilustrasi, dan tata letak yang disertakan dalam isi
buku. Pada tahap pembahasan, perancangan sampul dilakukan dengan tahapan
praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Ilustrasi buku disusun dengan tahapan
gagasan, sketsa, dan pewarnaan. Sedangkan tata letak, dilakukan dengan tahapan
praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Simpulannya, dengan tahapan tersebut,
penulis telah menyusun perancangan desain sampul, ilustrasi, dan tata letak dengan
hasil akhir berupa dummy produk buku fiksi anak “Kisah Digo di Laut Lengkuas”.
