PERAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM PENGGUNAAN TYPE OF SHOT UNTUK MENDUKUNG VISUALISASI PROGRAM INSTRUKSIONAL “LANGGAM WIRAGA”

ABSTRAK
Langgam Wiraga is a video-on-demand instructional program focused on traditional dance, designed as a visual learning medium for elementary school students to introduce Indonesian dance culture. This final project aims to explain the role of the Program Director in optimizing the use of type of shot to support effective learning visualization. During the production process, the Program Director is responsible for planning visual concepts, preparing shot lists and storyboards, directing multi-camera setups, and supervising visual quality from pre-production to post-production. Type of shot techniques such as long shot, medium shot, and close-up are used to clarify dance movements and support systematic material delivery. The final results show that proper selection of type of shot greatly influences visual quality, material clarity, and the effectiveness of the program as a learning medium. This project uses a descriptive qualitative method through observation, interviews, and literature study. Through this work, the writer demonstrates that the Program Director plays an important role not only as a technical director but also as the main controller of visual concepts in creating an educational and communicative instructional program.

Program Langgam Wiraga merupakan tayangan video on demand berbentuk program instruksional tari tradisional yang dirancang sebagai media pembelajaran visual bagi anak-anak sekolah dasar dalam mengenal budaya tari Indonesia. Penulisan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran Program Director dalam mengoptimalkan penggunaan type of shot guna mendukung visualisasi pembelajaran yang efektif. Dalam proses produksi, Program Director bertanggung jawab terhadap perencanaan konsep visual, penyusunan shotlist dan storyboard, pengarahan multi-kamera, serta pengawasan visual dari pra-produksi hingga pasca-produksi. Pada penulisan ini program director menggunakan teknik type of shot seperti long shot, medium shot, dan close up digunakan untuk memperjelas gerakan tari dan mendukung penyampaian materi secara sistematis. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan type of shot yang tepat berpengaruh besar terhadap kualitas visual, kejelasan materi, dan efektivitas program sebagai media pembelajaran. Melalui karya ini, penulis menunjukkan bahwa Program Director berperan penting tidak hanya sebagai pengarah teknis, tetapi juga sebagai pengendali utama visual program yang edukatif dan komunikatif.
