PERAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM PENERAPAN TREATMENT EKSPOSITORI PADA PROGRAM DOKUMENTER RAGA NUSANTARA

ABSTRAK

Traditional Indonesian sports specifically Bola Leungeun Seuneu (Boles) from Sukabumi are becoming increasingly marginalized due to the dominance of modern culture and a lack of public awareness. Addressing this issue, this paper examines the application of an expository treatment by the Program Director for the documentary program "Raga Nusantara." As the Program Director, the author was responsible for coordinating the production process from preparation to completion to ensure the documentary's message was conveyed effectively (Fachrudin, 2017). Data was gathered through observation, interviews, and literature reviews to obtain information on the history, cultural values, and playing techniques of Bola Leungeun Seuneu, which served as the foundation for developing the visual concept. The findings indicate that the Program Director's use of an expository approach resulted in a focused visual treatment, allowing information about Bola Leungeun Seuneu to be presented in a manner that was informative, clear, and easily understood by the audience. It is concluded that the Program Director plays a pivotal role in implementing the expository approach through the design of the visual treatment, thereby effectively achieving the documentary's goal of serving as a medium for education and the preservation of traditional sports.

Olahraga tradisional Indonesia, khususnya Bola Leungeun Seuneu (Boles) dari Sukabumi, semakin terpinggirkan akibat dominasi budaya modern dan minimnya sosialisasi kepada masyarakat. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, Adapun tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penulisan ini yaitu guna menerapkan treatment ekspositori oleh Program Director pada program dokumenter “Raga Nusantara” Penulis berperan sebagai Program Director bertanggung jawab mengoordinasikan proses produksi dari persiapan hingga selesai agar pesan dokumenter tersampaikan secara efektif Fachrudin (2017). Pada penulisan ini penulis mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka guna memperoleh informasi mengenai sejarah, nilai budaya, teknik permainan Bola Leungeun Seuneu sebagai dasar penyusunan konsep visual. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan ekspositori oleh Program Director mampu menghasilkan treatment visual yang terarah sehingga informasi mengenai Bola Leungeun Seuneu dapat disampaikan secara informatif, jelas, dan mudah dipahami audiens. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Program Director berperan sebagai pengendali utama dalam menerapkan pendekatan ekspositori melalui perancangan treatment visual, sehingga tujuan dokumenter Raga Nusantara sebagai media edukasi dan pelestarian olahraga tradisional dapat tercapai secara efektif.
