Peran Penata Artistik Set Decoration Dalam Implementasi Metode Scenographic Pada Program Live Pertunjukan Sendratari “Rukestra Budaya”

Penerapan metode scenographic pada penataan set decoration belum sepenuhnya menghasilkan ritme visual yang selaras dengan alur pertunjukan sendratari, dan ada juga terdapat kendala teknis dalam perpindahan set decoration yang mempengaruhi kelancaran ritme pertunjukan. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis implementasi metode scenographic pada penataan set decoration sehingga menghasilkan ritme visual yang selaras dengan alur pertunjukan sendratari Rukestra Budaya. Penata artistik bukan sekadar penghias, melainkan perancang yang menerjemahkan ide kreatif menjadi bentuk fisik dengan menyelaraskan elemen seperti set, properti, kostum, dan rias sesuai konsep produksi (Kusmawati, 2017, p. 192). Hasilnya Penata artistik dapat merealisasikan set decoration dengan metode scenographic dalam perancangan set panggung agar terealisasikannya pendukung alur cerita yang disampaikan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini berupa observasi dan studi Pustaka untuk memperkuat teori dan teknik kerja penata artistik set decoration. Teknik ini mulai diterapkan pada saat pembuatan konsep set hingga perealisasiannya. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode scenographic yang tepat tidak hanya memperkuat kohesi visual antara elemen artistic dan alur naratif, tetapi juga menjadi kunci dalam menciptakan pengalaman estetis yang imersif dan bermakna bagi penonton sendratari.

The application of scenographic methods in set decoration has not yet fully produced a visual rhythm that is in harmony with the flow of the dance drama performance, and there are also technical challenges in changing the set decoration that affect the smooth flow of the performance. This paper aims to describe and analyze the implementation of scenographic methods in set decoration design to produce a visual rhythm that harmonizes with the flow of the Rukestra Budaya dance drama performance. An artistic director is not merely a decorator but a designer who translates creative ideas into physical form by harmonizing elements such as sets, props, costumes, and makeup in accordance with the production’s concept (Kusmawati, 2017, p. 192). As a result, the artistic director can realize set decoration using scenographic methods in stage set design to effectively support the narrative being conveyed. The data collection methods used in this study consist of observation and literature review to strengthen the theory and working techniques of the artistic director in set decoration. This technique is applied from the conceptualization of the set through to its realization. Thus, the proper application of scenographic methods not only strengthens the visual cohesion between artistic elements and the narrative flow but also serves as the key to creating an immersive and meaningful aesthetic experience for dance theater audiences.
