PERAN PROGRAM DIRECTOR DALAM STRATEGI PENGGUNAAN FRAME CLOSE UP PADA PROGRAM LIVE PERTUNJUKAN SENDRATARI “RUKESTRA BUDAYA”

Program Rukestra Budaya merupakan program televisi berformat pertunjukan sendratari yang mengangkat legenda-legenda Indonesia yang jarang diketahui sebagai upaya memperkenalkan budaya kepada generasi muda. Dalam penyajiannya, diperlukan strategi visual yang mampu menampilkan detail adegan, ekspresi pemain, serta memperkuat penyampaian cerita kepada penonton. Oleh karena itu, penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran Program Director dalam strategi penggunaan frame close up pada program live pertunjukan Rukestra Budaya. Program Director adalah orang yang mengarahkan dan orang yang bertanggung jawab atas segala aspek selama produksi (Junitiadi, 2023, hal. 2). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini meliputi observasi dan studi pustaka untuk memperkuat landasan teori serta teknik kerja Program Director. Sebagai Program Director, penulis menerapkan strategi penggunaan frame close up pada saat proses live streaming melalui pengarahan kamera dan direct by switching sesuai dengan alur pertunjukan. Penerapan strategi tersebut menghasilkan penyajian visual yang lebih komunikatif, mampu memperkuat emosi, serta meningkatkan kualitas xpenyampaian cerita kepada penonton.

Rukestra Budaya is a television program in the form of a dance drama performance that presents Indonesian legends that are rarely known as an effort to introduce local culture to the younger generation. In its presentation, a visual strategy is required to highlight scene details, performers' facial expressions, and strengthen the delivery of the story to the audience. Therefore, this study aims to explain the role of the Program Director in implementing the close-up framing strategy in the live performance program Rukestra Budaya. The Program Director is responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of the production process (Junitiadi, 2023, p. 2). The data collection methods used in this study include observation and literature review to strengthen the theoretical foundation and the working techniques of the Program Director. As the Program Director, the author implemented a close-up framing strategy during the live streaming production through camera direction and direct by switching in accordance with the performance flow. The implementation of this strategy resulted in a more communicative visual presentation, effectively highlighting the performers' facial expressions, strengthening emotional engagement and storytelling, and improving the overall visual quality of the program for the audience.
