PENYAMPAIAN PESAN SECARA IMPLISIT MELALUI PLOT CERITA PADA FILM SHE WHAT I SEE

The short film She What I See portrays the emotional experiences of a young child who has a
different physical condition from the other children in the orphanage where she lives, a
difference that influences how others perceive her while also shaping her psychological state,
inner feelings, and the way she understands the world around her; the story focuses on the
main character’s emotional struggle, ranging from feelings of isolation and the desire to be
accepted to the process of discovering self-worth within an environment that does not fully
understand her uniqueness, thereby seeking to present the child’s personal perspective so that
the audience can feel what she sees, feels, and experiences. This final project proposal
specifically discusses the role of the writer in designing and structuring the plot as a means of
conveying implicit messages within the story, as the writer’s task is not only to arrange a
sequence of events but also to regulate dramatic rhythm, place conflicts effectively, and develop
the character’s emotional progression so that the intended meaning can be subtly yet
powerfully communicated; through a carefully structured and thoughtfully crafted plot, each
scene is expected to support the effective delivery of the film’s central theme, allowing She
What I See to become a work that emotionally moves the audience, evokes empathy, and leaves
a lasting impression after viewing.

Film pendek She What I See mengangkat pengalaman emosional seorang anak kecil yang
memiliki perbedaan kondisi fisik dibandingkan anak-anak lain di panti tempat ia tinggal, di
mana perbedaan tersebut memengaruhi cara orang lain memandang dirinya, sekaligus
membentuk kondisi psikologis, perasaan batin, serta cara ia memahami dunia di sekitarnya;
cerita berfokus pada pergulatan emosi tokoh utama, mulai dari rasa keterasingan, keinginan
untuk diterima, hingga proses menemukan makna diri di tengah lingkungan yang belum
sepenuhnya memahami keunikannya, sehingga film ini berupaya menghadirkan sudut pandang
personal anak tersebut agar penonton dapat merasakan apa yang ia lihat, rasakan, dan alami.
Proposal tugas akhir ini akan membahas secara khusus peran penulis dalam merancang serta
menyusun plot sebagai sarana penyampaian pesan implisit dalam cerita, karena penulis tidak
hanya menyusun rangkaian peristiwa, tetapi juga mengatur ritme dramatik, penempatan
konflik, serta perkembangan emosi tokoh agar makna yang ingin disampaikan dapat tersirat
secara halus namun tetap kuat; dengan perancangan plot yang terstruktur dan penuh
pertimbangan artistik, setiap adegan diharapkan mampu mendukung penyampaian tema utama
film secara efektif sehingga rangkaian plot yang disusun secara matang tersebut dapat
menjadikan She What I See sebagai karya yang menggugah perasaan penonton,
