Abstract

The production of live broadcast programs requires an audio system capable of delivering high-quality sound to ensure that information and entertainment are conveyed effectively to the audience. One of the key aspects of this process is the synchronization of audio signals between the Front of House (FOH) mixer and the broadcast mixer, ensuring that the audio received by the broadcasting system remains consistent with the audio produced at the event venue. In this process, the sound engineer plays a crucial role in managing, controlling, and ensuring that audio distribution meets production requirements. This Final Project report aims to explain the role of the sound engineer in implementing input synchronization between the FOH mixer and the broadcast mixer in the live program Berpestra. The report was prepared based on practical work experience gained during the production process, supported by observations, documentation, and literature related to sound systems and television broadcasting. The implementation of input synchronization between the FOH mixer and the broadcast mixer enabled a more effective audio distribution process, resulting in improved audio quality and supporting the successful production of the live program Berpestra.

Produksi program siaran langsung (Live) memerlukan sistem tata suara yang mampu menghasilkan kualitas audio yang baik agar informasi dan hiburan dapat tersampaikan kepada audiens secara optimal. Salah satu aspek penting dalam proses tersebut adalah sinkronisasi sinyal audio antara mixer Front of House (FOH) dan mixer broadcast, sehingga audio yang diterima oleh sistem penyiaran tetap konsisten dengan audio yang diproduksi di lokasi acara. Dalam pelaksanaannya, penata suara memiliki peran penting dalam mengelola, mengatur, serta memastikan proses distribusi audio berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan produksi. Laporan Tugas Akhir ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan peran penata suara dalam penerapan sinkronisasi input mixer FOH ke mixer broadcast pada program Live “Berpestra”. Penyusunan laporan dilakukan berdasarkan pengalaman praktik kerja yang diperoleh selama proses produksi, didukung oleh observasi, dokumentasi, serta studi pustaka mengenai sistem tata suara dan penyiaran televisi. Melalui penerapan sinkronisasi input antara mixer FOH dan mixer broadcast, proses distribusi audio dapat berjalan dengan lebih efektif sehingga kualitas audio yang dihasilkan dapat mendukung penyelenggaraan program Live “Berpestra” secara optimal.
