PENERAPAN TEORI KONFLIK DRAMATIK ROBERT MCKEE PADA KONFLIK ANTARKARAKTER DALAM SKENARIO FILM PENDEK “METRONOME”

ABSTRAK
Film pendek "Metronome" merupakan karya yang mengangkat konflik dalam hubungan rumah tangga antara dua mantan musisi, Arman dan Rahana, yang memiliki perbedaan pandangan mengenai kesiapan memiliki anak. Perbedaan kebutuhan, tujuan hidup, dan tekanan psikologis masing-masing karakter menjadi sumber konflik yang memengaruhi perkembangan hubungan serta perkembangan cerita. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan menerapkan teori konflik dramatik Robert McKee dalam perancangan konflik antarkarakter pada skenario film pendek "Metronome". Metode yang digunakan meliputi studi pustaka dan observasi yang diterapkan dalam proses penciptaan karya melalui tahapan praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi. Pada tahap penulisan skenario, penulis mengembangkan premis, relasi karakter, eskalasi konflik, serta struktur dramatik hingga menghasilkan naskah final. Teori konflik dramatik Robert McKee diterapkan melalui inner conflict, personal conflict, dan extra-personal conflict yang berkembang secara bertahap sehingga membentuk hubungan sebab-akibat yang jelas. Hasil penciptaan menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teori tersebut mampu membangun konflik antarkarakter secara lebih terarah, memperkuat perkembangan karakter, serta menghasilkan penyelesaian cerita yang konsisten dengan tujuan dramatik film pendek.

ABSTRACT
The short film "Metronome" tells the story of a marital conflict between two former musicians, Arman and Rahana, who have different perspectives on their readiness to have children. Their differing needs, life goals, and psychological pressures become the main sources of conflict, influencing the development of their relationship and the progression of the story. This final project aims to apply Robert McKee's Dramatic Conflict Theory in designing inter-character conflict within the screenplay of the short film "Metronome." The methods employed in this project include literature study and observation, which were applied throughout the creative process during the pre-production, production, and post-production stages. During the screenplay writing process, the writer developed the premise, character relationships, conflict escalation, and dramatic structure to produce the final screenplay. Robert McKee's Dramatic Conflict Theory was applied through inner, personal, and extra-personal conflicts that developed progressively through clear cause-and-effect relationships. The results demonstrate that the application of this theory effectively strengthens inter-character conflict, enhances character development, and produces a dramatic resolution that is consistent with the narrative objectives of the short film.
