IMPLEMENTASI WARNA SEBAGAI BAHASA VISUAL DALAM MENDUKUNG NARATIF PADA FILM PENDEK"Kurikulum Tersembunyi"

Film Kurikulum Tersembunyi merupakan film pendek yang bertemakan Tekanan sosial di lingkungan sekolah dan dampaknya terhadap kondisi psikologis remaja . Proses penciptaan karya dilakukan melalui tahapan pra produksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi, yang meliputi riset karakter, scouting dan recce lokasi, perancangan set design, penyusunan preset artistik, serta penerapan warna pada setting, wardrobe, dan make-up. Konsep warna diterapkan secara konsisten dengan dominasi warna dingin pada lingkungan sekolah untuk merepresentasikan suasana formal, kaku, dan penuh tekanan, sedangkan warna-warna hangat digunakan pada ruang pribadi tokoh utama sebagai simbol kenyamanan dan rasa aman. Penerapan warna juga disesuaikan dengan perkembangan konflik dan kondisi psikologis karakter sehingga mampu memperkuat penyampaian makna tanpa bergantung sepenuhnya pada dialog. Hasil penciptaan karya menunjukkan bahwa implementasi warna sebagai bahasa visual mampu membangun kontinuitas visual, memperkuat karakterisasi, serta mendukung penyampaian naratif dalam film Kurikulum Tersembunyi. Dengan demikian, warna tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai elemen estetis, tetapi juga menjadi bagian penting dalam membangun pengalaman emosional penonton dan memperkuat pesan yang ingin disampaikan melalui film.

Kurikulum Tersembunyi is a short film that explores the theme of social pressure within the school environment and its impact on adolescents' psychological well-being. The creative process was carried out through the stages of pre-production, production, and post-production, including character research, location scouting and recce, set design planning, artistic preset preparation, and the application of color to the setting, wardrobe, and makeup. The color concept was consistently implemented by using cool tones in the school environment to represent a formal, rigid, and oppressive atmosphere, while warm tones were applied to the main character's personal space to symbolize comfort and a sense of security. The use of color was also adjusted according to the development of the conflict and the characters' psychological conditions, enabling visual elements to reinforce the narrative without relying entirely on dialogue. The results of this creative work demonstrate that the implementation of color as a visual language successfully creates visual continuity, strengthens characterization, and supports the narrative of Kurikulum Tersembunyi. Therefore, color functions not only as an aesthetic element but also as an essential visual component in building the audience's emotional experience and reinforcing the message conveyed through the film.
