IMPLEMENTASI POINT OF AUDITION MELALUI AMBIENCE DALAM MEREPRESENTASIKAN PERUBAHAN EMOSIONAL KARAKTER PADA FILM “KURIKULUM TERSEMBUNYI”

ABSTRACT
Hidden Curriculum is a fictional short film that explores the use of the point of audition concept as a sound design strategy to represent the emotional changes of the main character through school ambience. This approach places the audience within the character’s auditory perspective, allowing sound to function subjectively in relation to the character’s psychological state. The film addresses social and institutional pressures within the school environment and their impact on adolescent emotional experiences. In this work, ambience is treated not merely as background sound but as a narrative element that reflects feelings of anxiety, alienation, and internal conflict. Sound elements are manipulated in terms of intensity, clarity, and spatial perception to emphasize emotional transitions throughout the story. The creative process consists of pre-production, production, and post-production stages, focusing on sound concept planning, the application of point of audition in key scenes, and subjective sound processing during post-production. This project aims to demonstrate the role of sound design in enhancing emotional engagement in fictional short films.

ABSTRAK
Kurikulum Tersembunyi merupakan film pendek fiksi yang mengeksplorasi penerapan konsep point of audition sebagai strategi tata suara untuk merepresentasikan perubahan emosional karakter utama melalui ambience lingkungan sekolah. Pendekatan ini menempatkan penonton pada sudut pandang pendengaran karakter, sehingga suara berfungsi secara subjektif sesuai dengan kondisi psikologis tokoh. Film ini mengangkat isu tekanan sosial dan institusional di lingkungan sekolah serta dampaknya terhadap pengalaman emosional remaja. Dalam karya ini, I tidak hanya digunakan sebagai latar suara, tetapi juga sebagai elemen naratif yang merepresentasikan perasaan cemas, keterasingan, dan konflik batin karakter. Unsur suara diolah melalui pengaturan intensitas, kejernihan, dan persepsi ruang untuk menekankan perubahan emosi sepanjang cerita. Proses penciptaan dilakukan melalui tahap praproduksi, produksi, dan pascaproduksi dengan fokus pada perancangan konsep suara, penerapan point of audition pada adegan-adegan kunci, serta pengolahan suara secara subjektif. Karya ini diharapkan dapat menunjukkan peran penting tata suara dalam memperkuat pengalaman emosional dalam film pendek fiksi.
