PENERAPAN TEKNIK MEDIUM CLOSE UP OLEH PENATA KAMERA DALAM PROGRAM MAGAZINE “EXPLORE THE VILLAGE”

Penelitian Tugas Akhir ini menganalisis kontribusi teknik Medium Close Up (MCU) oleh penata kamera dalam menyampaikan pesan visual dan membangun human interest pada program magazine "Explore The Village". Melalui tahapan pra-produksi, produksi, hingga pasca-produksi serta didukung data observasi, kuesioner, dan studi pustaka penerapan MCU terbukti efektif menangkap detail ekspresi wajah, tatapan mata, dan emosi narasumber maupun host. Pengambilan gambar dari dada ke atas ini berhasil membangun kedekatan emosional dengan pemirsa tanpa menghilangkan latar belakang keindahan dan kearifan lokal Desa Wisata Malasari, sehingga menghasilkan tayangan yang informatif, emosional, dan komunikatif.

This Final Project research analyzes the contribution of the Medium Close Up (MCU) technique applied by the camera operator in conveying visual messages and building human interest in the "Explore The Village" magazine program. Through pre-production, production, and post-production stages supported by observation, questionnaires, and literature review the MCU technique effectively captures detailed facial expressions, eye contact, and emotions of both sources and hosts. Framing from chest to head successfully establishes an emotional connection with viewers while retaining the background context of Malasari Tourism Village's natural beauty and local wisdom, delivering an informative, emotional, and communicative broadcast.
