EKSPLORASI MOTIF FLORA BERBASIS KONTEMPORER UNTUK KOLEKSI MODEST WEAR PADA SUB-BRAND NOVIANTISYAHIRA

Modest wear in Indonesian has shown significant grow as part of the need for
clothing that is both modest and aesthetical appealing, while also serving as a
medium to represent cultural values and identity. Culture is closely related to human
interaction with nature; therefore, nature is often used as a source of inspiration in
creating works, including in the development of decorative elements or motifs as
important aspects in building product character and differentiation. One of the
decorative elements that has the potential to be developed is flora-based motifs
Pancoran Mas conservation area, possesses a diverse range of flora with visual
characteristics than can be utilized as a source of inspiration for contemporary
motifs; however, its utilization remains suboptimal. This study aims to explore and
develop contemporary flora-based decorative motifs and apply the to modest wear
collection of the NoviantiSyaHiRa sub-brand. The research employs a qualitative
method with an exploratory design approach though observation, literature study,
interviews, questionnaires, and motifs with aesthetic value, strong visual character,
and the ability to represent local identity in accordance with the brand concept,
while enhancing product differentiation in the modest fashion industry.

Modest wear di Indonesia menunjukkan perkembangan yang signifikan sebagai
bagian dari kebutuhan busana sopan dan estetis, sekaligus menjadi media dalam
merepresentasikan nilai dan identitas budaya. Kebudayaan tidak terlepas dari
interaksi manusia dengan alam, oleh karena itu alam sering dijadikan sebagai
sumber media inspirasi untuk menciptakan sebuah karya, termasuk dalam
pengembangan ragam hias atau motif sebagai elemen penting dalam membangun
karakter dan diferensiasi produk. Salah satu ragam hias yang berpotensi
dikembangkan adalah motif flora berbasis potensi lokal. Kota Depok, khususnya
pada Kawasan Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Pancoran Mas, memiliki
keanekaragaman flora dengan karakter visual yang dapat dijadikan sumber inspirasi
motif kontemporer, namun pemanfaatannya masih belum optimal. Penelitian ini
bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan mengembangkan ragam hias motif flora
berbasis kontemporer serta menerapkannya pada koleksi modest wear sub-brand
NoviantiSyaHiRa. Metode yang digunakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksplorasi
melalui observasi, studi literatur, wawancara, kuesioner, serta stilasi motif. Hasil
penelitian berupa pengembangan motif flora kontemporer yang memiliki nilai
estetis, karakter visual kuat, serta mampu merepresentasikan identitas lokal sesuai
konsep brand dan meningkatkan diferensiasi produk dalam industry modest fashion.
