Abstract
ABSTRACT
Ikati Indonesia is a fashion brand that produces ready-to-wear clothing using the
shibori technique with natural dyes. However, its products are still dominated by
indigo natural dye, resulting in limited color variations, while the clothing designs
remain relatively simple. This study aims to develop Ikati's ready-to-wear designs
and utilize tegeran wood as an alternative natural dye to indigo. This research
employed a qualitative method using the Design Thinking approach, which consists
of five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. Data were collected
through literature studies, interviews with the business partner and potential users,
and observations of competitor brands. The results showed that tegeran wood
produced a stable bronze yellow color through the shibori technique with alum
fixation. The design process resulted in a ready-to-wear collection entitled
Heirloom Refined, combining the Dewi Shinta Wayang motif with geometric motifs
using a contemporary design approach. Through the design selection process
involving the business partner and potential users, five selected designs were
developed into prototypes. This study is expected to contribute to the development
of Ikati Indonesia's products by utilizing tegeran natural dye while creating fashion
products with aesthetic, cultural, and environmentally friendly values. .

Namun, produk Ikati
Perancangan
menghasilkan koleksi busana ready to wear bertema Heirloom Refined yang
