LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR PENERAPAN GENERAL SOUND EFFECT UNTUK MEMBANGUN DISTORSI REALITA PADA FILM PENDEK “REAKSI RASA”

ABSTRACT
The short film Reaksi Rasa tells the story of Bryan, who is trapped between reality
and imagination due to his unexpressed feelings for Astrid. This project aims to
apply General Sound Effects to create reality distortion and distinguish the
atmosphere between real and imaginary worlds. The creative process involved
designing and implementing General Sound Effects, including ambience and room
tone, supported by music. Natural environmental sounds were used in reality
scenes, while imagination scenes employed reduced ambience and music to
emphasize changes in the character’s perception. The results show that General
Sound Effects effectively create reality distortion while strengthening narrative
delivery and enhancing the audience’s audiovisual experience.

ABSTRAK
Film pendek Reaksi Rasa menceritakan Bryan yang terjebak antara realita dan
imajinasi akibat perasaan cintanya kepada Astrid yang tidak tersampaikan. Karya
ini bertujuan menerapkan General Sound Effect untuk membangun distorsi realita
dan membedakan suasana antara dunia nyata dan dunia imajinasi. Metode
penciptaan dilakukan melalui perancangan konsep serta penerapan General Sound
Effect berupa ambience dan room tone yang didukung penggunaan musik. Pada
adegan realita digunakan suara lingkungan yang natural, sedangkan pada adegan
imajinasi ambience dikurangi dan dipadukan dengan musik untuk menegaskan
perubahan persepsi tokoh. Hasil karya menunjukkan bahwa General Sound Effect
mampu membangun distorsi realita secara efektif serta memperkuat penyampaian
narasi dan pengalaman audiovisual penonton.
