PENERAPAN TEKNIK RESTRICTED NARRATION UNTUK MENGONSTRUKSI STIGMA PADA PENULISAN NASKAH FILM PENDEK BERJUDUL "DOSA TAK BERTUAN"

ABSTRACT
The phenomenon of social stigma toward marginalized groups continues to occur
as a result of perceptions constructed from incomplete information. Society tends
to draw conclusions based on limited fragments of reality, giving rise to prejudice
and imbalanced moral judgments. This final project report addresses this issue
through the creation of a short film entitled Dosa Tak Bertuan, aiming to represent
the mechanism of stigma formation through the application of the restricted
narration technique, combined with the Fichtean Curve narrative structure and
social stigma theory. The theoretical framework underlying this creative work
includes film theory, screenwriting theory, the restricted narration technique, the
Fichtean Curve dramatic structure, and construction of social stigma theory. The
creative process employed a practice-based approach consisting of pre-production,
production, and post-production stages. The discussion in this report focuses on
information management from the initial crisis through the application of the
restricted narration technique, leading to a shift in perspective and the revelation
of the truth at the climax. The results of this creative work demonstrate that the
application of restricted narration is capable of creating an experience that
encourages the audience to reflect on the process of social stigma formation, while
also raising awareness of perceptual bias resulting from information deliberately
limited by the filmmaker.

ABSTRAK
Fenomena stigma sosial terhadap kelompok marjinal masih kerap terjadi akibat
konstruksi persepsi yang dibentuk oleh informasi yang tidak utuh. Masyarakat
cenderung menarik kesimpulan berdasarkan potongan realitas yang terbatas
sehingga melahirkan prasangka dan standar moral yang timpang. Laporan tugas
akhir ini mengangkat permasalahan tersebut ke dalam karya film pendek berjudul
‘Dosa Tak Bertuan’ dengan tujuan merepresentasikan mekanisme terbentuknya
stigma melalui penerapan teknik penceritaan terbatas (restricted narration),
dipadukan dengan penggunaan struktur naratif Fichtean Curve serta teori stigma
sosial. Kajian teori yang menjadi landasan dalam penciptaan karya ini meliputi
penulisan naskah, teknik penceritaan restricted narration, struktur dramatik
Fichtean Curve, dan konstruksi stigma sosial. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan
pendekatan praktik penciptaan karya yang meliputi tahap praproduksi, produksi,
hingga pascaproduksi. Pembahasan pada laporan ini menitikberatkan pada
pengelolaan informasi melalui krisis awal dengan menggunakan teknik penceritaan
terbatas (restricted narration), hingga pergeseran sudut pandang menuju
pengungkapan kebenaran pada klimaks. Hasil penciptaan karya ini menunjukkan
bahwa teknik restricted narration mampu menciptakan pengalaman bagi penonton
untuk merefleksikan proses terbentuknya stigma sosial, sehingga penonton pun
diajak menyadari bias persepsi yang muncul akibat informasi yang dibatasi
pembuat karya.
