PERANCANGAN ULANG BUKU MENU CAFÉ REMPAH "SEPOCI" DENGAN KONVERGENSI MEDIA

ABSTRAK
Café Rempah "Sepoci" merupakan café yang mengusung konsep rempah modern, namun buku menu yang digunakan belum mampu merepresentasikan identitas visual café secara optimal serta masih kurang informatif. Perancangan ini bertujuan merancang ulang buku menu Café Rempah "Sepoci" dengan pendekatan konvergensi media sebagai media promosi dan informasi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi wawancara, observasi, dan studi literatur. Hasil wawancara menunjukkan bahwa Sepoci membutuhkan buku menu yang lebih modern, informatif, serta memperkenalkan rempah-rempah. Hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa buku menu lama belum mencerminkan konsep café rempah modern dan belum memanfaatkan media digital secara maksimal. Studi literatur digunakan sebagai landasan teori mengenai buku menu, ilustrasi, identitas visual, konvergensi media, serta unsur dan prinsip desain. Hasil perancangan berupa buku menu cetak yang terintegrasi dengan media digital melalui kode QR. Perancangan menerapkan ilustrasi rempah-rempah, fotografi menu, warna earth tone, tipografi sans serif, serta unsur dan prinsip desain untuk menghasilkan buku menu yang lebih informatif, menarik, memperkuat identitas visual Café Rempah "Sepoci", dan memberikan pengalaman yang lebih interaktif kepada pelanggan.

ABSTRACT
Sepoci Spice Café is a café that embraces the concept of modern Indonesian spices. However, its existing menu book has not been able to optimally represent the café's visual identity and still lacks informative content. This study aims to redesign the menu book of Sepoci Spice Café using a media convergence approach as a promotional and informational medium. The data collection methods used in this study included interviews, observations, and literature review. The interview results showed that Sepoci required a menu book that is more modern, informative, and capable of introducing Indonesian spices to customers. The observation results indicated that the previous menu book did not adequately reflect the concept of a modern spice café and had not maximized the use of digital media. Meanwhile, the literature review provided the theoretical foundation for menu book design, illustration, visual identity, media convergence, and the elements and principles of design. The redesign resulted in a printed menu book integrated with digital media through QR codes. The design incorporates spice illustrations, menu photography, an earth-tone color palette, sans-serif typography, and the application of design elements and principles to create a menu book that is more informative, visually appealing, strengthens the visual identity of Sepoci Spice Café, and provides a more interactive experience for customers.
