PERANCANGAN BUSANA KERJA WANITA MENGGUNAKAN KOMBINASI TENUN SADUM DAN TEKNIK SASHIKO (STUDI KASUS : LOIS BOUTIQUE)

Currently, Lois Boutique wants to expand its market share by launching ready-towear fashion collections, especially for working women, as a solution to increase
sales. This research aims to design ready-to-use work clothes using Sadum woven
fabric under the Lois Boutique brand. Work clothes are clothes that are worn in
accordance with the tasks performed. In this design, the author uses a combination
of Sadum weaving and the sashiko technique. Sadum weaving is a traditional
fabric owned by the Batak tribe with the richest variety of colors. The sashiko
technique itself is a decoration with a dotted stitch figurative motif. The design
method used is the Hasso Platner Stanford model approach with design thinking
stages, which involves the stages of Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test.
The results of this research from the exploration that have been carried out with
the sashiko technique produce new sashiko motifs and suitable materials. The
conclusion of this study is the design of work clothing design with the
commencement of Sadum weaving and the sashiko technique using Exotic Casual
Style and eclectic look for women aged 25-30 years into the form of 3 work clothing
designs.

Saat ini, Lois Boutique ingin memperluas pangsa pasar dengan meluncurkan
koleksi busana siap pakai, khususnya untuk wanita pekerja, sebagai langkah solutif
untuk meningkatkan penjualan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang busana
kerja siap pakai dengan menggunakan kain tenun Sadum pada brand Lois Boutique.
Busana kerja merupakan pakaian yang dipakai sesuai dengan tugas yang dilakukan.
Dalam perancangan ini penulis menggunakan kombinasi dengan tenun Sadum dan
teknik sashiko. Tenun Sadum adalah kain tradisional yang dimiliki suku Batak
dengan variasi warna yang paling kaya. Teknik sashiko itu sendiri adalah hiasan
dengan motif figuratif jahitan putus-putus. Metode perancangan yang digunakan
adalah pendekatan model Hasso Platner Standford dengan tahapan design thinking,
yang melibatkan tahapan Emphatize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Test. Hasil
penelitian ini dari eksplorasi yang telah dilakukan dengan teknik sashiko
menghasilkan motif sashiko baru dan material yang sesuai. Kesimpulan penelitian
ini yaitu perancangan desain busana kerja dengan kominasi tenun Sadum dan teknik
sashiko menggunakan Style Exotic Casual dan look eclectic untuk wanita usia 25-
30 tahun ke dalam bentuk 3 desain busana kerja.
