PERANCANGAN FILM PENDEK ANIMASI 3D “REGRET” SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI PARENTING BAGI MAHASISWA POLIMEDIA (Concept Art, Design Character, Story Board)

"Regret" is a 3D animated short film that tells the story of a teenager who feels
lonely because his parents often leave him. During the production process, the writer
served as the Concept Artist, Character Designer, and Storyboard creator in the preproduction stage. This writing aims to introduce the concept of Parenting to students
of the State Polytechnic of Creative Media through the animated film "Regret." The
study employs a quantitative method with a pretest-posttest design to measure the
film's effectiveness in increasing knowledge about parenting. The statistical analysis
results show a significance value of p < 0.05, with a t-value (2.590) greater than the
t-table value (1.734), thus rejecting H0 and accepting H1. This indicates that
"Regret" is effective in enhancing understanding of parenting among the students of
the State Polytechnic of Creative Media, highlighting the importance of animated
films as educational tools.

Regret adalah sebuah film pendek animasi 3D yang menceritakan tentang
seorang remaja yang merasa kesepian karena sering ditinggalkan oleh orang tuanya.
Dalam proses pembuatannya, penulis bertugas sebagai Konsep Seni, Desain
Karakter, dan membuat Papan Cerita pada tahap pra produksi. Penulisan ini
bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep pola asuh kepada mahasiswa Politeknik
Negeri Media Kreatif melalui film animasi "Regret." Penelitian menggunakan
metode kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest untuk mengukur efektivitas film
dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang parenting. Hasil analisis statistik
menunjukkan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05, dengan t hitung (2,590) lebih besar dari t
tabel (1,734), sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Ini menunjukkan bahwa
"Regret" efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman tentang parenting di kalangan
mahasiswa Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif, menyoroti pentingnya film animasi
sebagai alat edukasi.
