PERANCANGAN BUKU MODUL UNTUK PEMAHAMAN PANDUAN PENETAPAN HUTAN ADAT LEMBAGA HUMA

Hutan Adat merupakan hutan yang berada dalam wilayah masyarakat hukum adat.
Hutan adat dikelola oleh masyarakat yang secara turun menurun bermukim di
wilayah geografis tertentu. Terdapat 26,9 juta hektar wilayah adat di Indonesia
yang luasnya setara dengan 47 kali luas Pulau Bali. Sejauh ini pengakuan dan
perlindungan wilayah adat di Indonesia terbilang sangat lambat. HuMa adalah
lembaga yang memiliki fokus kerja pada isu pembaharuan hukum yang berkaitan
dengan sumber daya alam dan hak masyarakat lokal atas sumber daya alam
tersebut. Salah satu bentuk dari peran HuMa sebagai pendamping hukum rakyat
(PHR) adalah membantu Masyarakat hukum adat dalam melakukan
pengakuan/penetapan hutan adat mereka. Namun sejauh ini belum ada media
informasi yang memberikan pemahaman tersebut secara efektif sehingga bisa
dipahami dengan mudah oleh khalayak umum. Berdasarkan hal itu penulis
merancang buku panduan mengenai penetapan hutan adat yang dikemas dalam
bentuk modul dengan materi yang disusun secara sistematis dan didukung visual
yang menarik sehingga mudah dipahami oleh khalayak umum.
Customary Forest is a forest that is within the territory of a customary law
community. Customary forests are managed by communities who have lived in
certain geographical areas for generations. There are 26.9 million hectares of
traditional territories in Indonesia, an area equivalent to 47 times the size of the
island of Bali. So far the recognition and protection of traditional territories in
Indonesia has been very slow. HuMa is an institution that focuses its work on
legal reform issues relating to natural resources and the rights of local
communities to these natural resources. One form of HuMa's role as a people's
legal assistant (PHR) is to assist customary law communities in
recognizing/determining their customary forests. However, so far there has been
no information media that provides this understanding effectively so that it can be
understood easily by the general public. Based on this, the author designed a
guidebook regarding the determination of customary forests which is packaged in
module form with material arranged systematically and supported by attractive
visuals so that it is easy for the general public to understand.
