PERAN PRODUSER DALAM MENGELOLA ANGGARAN PROGRAM LIVE VARIETY SHOW “SING IT LOUD!”

Salah satu tantangan utama dalam produksi program televisi adalah resiko
overbudgeting, yaitu pemakaian anggaran yang berlebih dan diluar perencanaan.
Situasi ini kerap muncul akibat dinamika produksi dan kebutuhan mendadak, yang
apabila tidak ditangani dengan tepat dapat menghambat kelancaran proses
produksi. Laporan tugas akhir ini membahas bagaimana strategi pengelolaan
anggaran oleh produser dalam menghadapi risiko overbudgeting pada produksi
program live variety show “Sing It Loud!”. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut,
pengelolaan anggaran dalam laporan ini diterapkan melalui pendekatan flexible
budgeting, yang memungkinkan penyesuaian alokasi dana berdasarkan kondisi
aktual di lapangan. Penulis terlibat langsung sebagai produser, menangani seluruh
proses mulai dari perencanaan hingga realisasi anggaran. Dari total anggaran awal
sebesar Rp37.740.000, produksi berhasil diselesaikan dengan pengeluaran sebesar
Rp22.797.792, menunjukkan efisiensi sebesar Rp15.026.208 atau sekitar 40%.
Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan anggaran yang fleksibel efektif dalam
mencegah overbudgeting serta mendukung efisiensi biaya dan kelancaran produksi.

One of the main challenges in television program production is the risk of
overbudgeting, which refers to excessive and unplanned use of the budget. This
situation often arises due to the dynamic nature of production and sudden needs,
which if not properly managed can disrupt the smooth flow of the production
process. This final project report discusses how a producer’s budget management
strategy addresses the risk of overbudgeting in the production of the live variety
show “Sing It Loud!”. To respond to this challenge, budget management in this
report was implemented using a flexible budgeting approach, which allows for the
adjustment of fund allocations based on actual field conditions. The writer was
directly involved as the producer, handling the entire process from planning to
budget realization. From an initial budget of IDR 37,740,000, the production was
successfully completed with a total expenditure of IDR 22,797,792, reflecting an
efficiency of IDR 15,026,208 or approximately 40%. These findings indicate that
flexible budget management is effective in preventing overbudgeting and supports
both cost efficiency and smooth production flow.
