PENGEMBANGAN MOTIF BUNGA POPPY PADA BUSANA MODEST WEAR DENGAN TEKNIK PRINTING KOMBINASI TEKNIK TUCKING ( STUDI KASUS : FIORELLYA BY DWEE).

This research discusses the development of poppy motifs in modest wear clothing using digital printing techniques combined with tucking techniques, with a case study on the Fiorellya by Dwee brand. The background of this research is based on the lack of a distinctive motif that represents a strong brand identity, as well as high competition among print-based modest wear brands in Indonesia. The poppy flower was chosen because it has high aesthetic value and strong symbolism, namely beauty, toughness, and care—in line with the brand philosophy. The printing technique is used to present a precise and expressive motif, while the tucking technique adds value in the form of texture and volume to the clothing. This research uses the Hasso Plattner-Stanford Design Thinking method which consists of the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were collected through observation, literature studies, interviews with partners and loyal customers, and benchmarking analysis. The final results show that the combination of printing and tucking techniques can produce modest wear clothing designs that are unique, aesthetic, and have high sales value, especially for the women's segment aged 25–30 years. The design process resulted in four final designs that have gone through a selection and evaluation process by partners and customers. This study is expected to serve as a reference in the development of innovative modest fashion designs and contribute to local brands becoming more competitive in the national and global markets.

Penelitian ini membahas pengembangan motif bunga poppy pada busana modest wear menggunakan teknik digital printing yang dikombinasikan dengan teknik tucking, dengan studi kasus pada brand Fiorellya by Dwee. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh belum adanya motif khas yang merepresentasikan identitas brand secara kuat, serta tingginya persaingan antar brand modest wear berbasis printing di Indonesia. Bunga poppy dipilih karena memiliki nilai estetika yang tinggi serta simbolisme kuat, yakni keindahan, ketangguhan, dan kepedulian—selaras dengan filosofi brand. Teknik printing digunakan untuk menghadirkan motif yang presisi dan ekspresif, sedangkan teknik tucking memberi nilai tambah dalam bentuk tekstur dan volume pada busana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design Thinking model Hasso Plattner-Stanford yang terdiri dari tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, studi literatur, wawancara dengan mitra dan pelanggan loyal, serta analisis benchmarking. Hasil akhir menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi teknik printing dan tucking mampu menghasilkan desain busana modest wear yang unik, estetik, dan bernilai jual tinggi, khususnya untuk segmen perempuan usia 25–30 tahun. Proses desain menghasilkan empat desain final yang telah melalui proses seleksi dan evaluasi oleh mitra serta pelanggan. Studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan desain modest fashion yang inovatif dan menjadi kontribusi bagi brand lokal untuk lebih kompetitif di pasar nasional maupun global.
