PENERAPAN TEKNIK SINEMATOGRAFI DALAM PEMBUATAN STORYBOARD ANIMASI "WHISPERS ON PAPER" UNTUK MEMPERKUAT SUASANA CERITA

Data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) shows that bullying cases in Indonesia remain high despite existing regulations that protect children's rights. In response to this issue, an animated film titled “Whispers On Paper” was created as an educational medium about the impact of bullying. This research focuses on the creation of a storyboard by applying cinematographic techniques to enhance the atmosphere of the story. The storyboard plays a vital role in pre-production as a pre-visualization tool that systematically arranges the narrative into visual sequences. The results of this study show that cinematographic techniques can strengthen the delivery of emotions and the atmosphere in the “Whispers On Paper” animation storyboard. Therefore, cinematography becomes an important aspect to consider in storyboard creation to support the delivery of moral messages in animation.

Data Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI) menunjukkan bahwa kasus perundungan di Indonesia masih tinggi meskipun sudah ada regulasi yang melindungi hak anak. Untuk merespons hal tersebut, dibuatnya film animasi “Whispers On Paper” sebagai media edukasi tentang dampak bullying. Penelitian ini berfokus pada pembuatan storyboard dengan penerapan teknik sinematografi untuk memperkuat suasana cerita. Storyboard memiliki fungsi vital dalam pra-produksi sebagai alat pra-visualisasi cerita melalui susunan gambar yang sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknik sinematografi mampu memperkuat penyampaian emosi dan suasana dalam storyboard animasi “Whispers On Paper”. Teknik sinematografi menjadi aspek penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam pembuatan storyboard untuk mendukung penyampaian pesan moral dalam animasi.
