AKTIVITAS BENGKEL MOTOR TRISTAR DI KAMPUNG RAMBUTAN DALAM PHOTO STORY

ABSTRACT
In the activities at the Tristar motorcycle workshop through a journalistic
photography approach using the concept of photo stories. The Tristar workshop
has its own uniqueness as a place of repair as well as a space for social interaction,
where technical and social activities intersect. The author observes various
processes that occur, starting from the arrival of customers, diagnosis of
motorcycle problems, the tune-up process, to testing motorcycle performance. In
addition, interactions such as conversations between mechanics and customers at
the workshop are also an important part of the resulting visual narrative. The
purpose of this photo shoot is to visualize the activities of the Tristar motorcycle
workshop in Kampung Rambutan through journalistic photos in the EDFAT method
photo story. The method used in taking photos uses the EDFAT method. The
resulting photos are arranged into a visual story that describes the flow of activities
in the workshop journalistically. The photo shoot was carried out by exploring the
visual elements and narratives reflected in the photos, and linking them to the
cultural and social context of the workshop as a workspace as well as a gathering
place. The results of the photo shoot show that the activities at the Tristar
motorcycle workshop do not only focus on technical aspects, but also reflect the
values of cooperation, trust, and solidarity between mechanics and customers.
Photo stories are able to capture these dynamics in depth.

ABSTRAK
Pada aktivitas di bengkel motor Tristar melalui pendekatan fotografi jurnalistik
menggunakan konsep foto cerita (photo story). Bengkel Tristar memiliki keunikan
tersendiri sebagai tempat perbaikan sekaligus ruang interaksi sosial, di mana
aktivitas teknis dan sosial saling bersinggungan. Penulis mengamati berbagai
proses yang terjadi, mulai dari kedatangan pelanggan, diagnosis masalah motor,
proses tune-up, hingga pengetesan performa motor. Selain itu, interaksi seperti
percakapan antara mekanik dan para pelanggan di bengkel juga menjadi bagian
penting dari narasi visual yang dihasilkan. Adapun tujuan pemotretan ini adalah
memvisualisasikan aktivitas bengkel motor Tristar di Kampung Rambutan melalui
foto jurnalistik dalam foto cerita metode EDFAT. Metode yang digunakan dalam
pengambilan foto menggunakan metode EDFAT. Foto-foto yang dihasilkan
dirangkai menjadi sebuah cerita visual yang menggambarkan alur kegiatan di
bengkel secara jurnalistik. Pemotretan dilakukan dengan mengeksplorasi elemen
elemen visual dan narasi yang tercermin dalam foto, serta mengaitkannya dengan
konteks budaya dan sosial bengkel sebagai ruang kerja sekaligus tempat berkumpul.
Hasil pemotretan menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas di bengkel motor Tristar tidak
hanya berfokus pada aspek teknis, tetapi juga mencerminkan nilai kerja sama,
kepercayaan, dan solidaritas di antara mekanik dan para pelanggan. Foto cerita
mampu menangkap dinamika tersebut secara mendalam, menghadirkan perspektif
baru tentang kehidupan di bengkel motor.
