LAPORAN TUGAS AKHIR ANALISIS PEMILIHAN LOKASI PRODUKSI FILM PENDEK "MALAM PERAYAAN"

ABSTRACT
Film, as an audio-visual medium of mass communication, possesses the ability to deliver messages to a group of people within a short period of time. One common form of filmmaking is the short film, often produced by students, university film majors, or independent film communities. This report aims to explore the production process of a short film, with a specific focus on the role of the location manager within production management. It outlines the steps involved in selecting a location, including analysis and evaluation based on various factors such as cost, lighting, and safety. The final project report specifically analyzes the location selection process for the short film Malam Perayaan, a romantic comedy that explores themes of friendship and unspoken love among members of Gen Z in today's era. Through effective location analysis supported by evaluation of production-related aspects, this report seeks to contribute to improving production quality, crew comfort and performance, as well as the visual needs of the film. Careful location selection not only influences the final outcome of the film but also enhances the working experience of the entire production team.

ABSTRAK
Film sebagai media komunikasi massa yang bersifat audio-visual memiliki kemampuan untuk menyampaikan pesan kepada sekelompok orang dalam waktu singkat. Salah satu jenis film yang banyak diproduksi adalah film pendek, yang biasanya dibuat oleh pelajar, mahasiswa, atau komunitas film mandiri. Laporan ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi proses produksi film pendek, dengan penekanan pada peran manajer lokasi dalam manajemen produksi. Laporan mencakup langkah-langkah dalam pemilihan lokasi, termasuk analisis dan evaluasi berdasarkan berbagai faktor, seperti biaya, pencahayaan, dan keamanan. Laporan tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemilihan lokasi dalam film pendek "Malam Perayaan," yang mengusung genre komedi romantis dengan tema persahabatan dan cinta yang terpendam khas anak muda Gen Z di zaman sekarang. Melalui analisis pemilihan lokasi yang efektif, disertai dengan evaluasi terhadap berbagai aspek produksi, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas produksi, kenyamanan, dan kinerja kru, serta mendukung kebutuhan visual film. Dengan demikian, pemilihan lokasi yang cermat tidak hanya berpengaruh pada hasil akhir film, tetapi juga pada pengalaman kerja tim produksi secara keseluruhan.
