PERAN PRODUSER DALAM STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN BUDGETING PADA DOKUMENTER EKSPOSITORI “BERSAMA BUMI PERTIWI”

Indonesia memiliki hasil bumi yang melimpah, pergeseran tren konsumsi media
menuju platform-platform yang menawarkan konten beragam dan akses mudah.
Namun dengan kurangnya informasi mengenai sumber daya alam ini, penulis dan
timnya memutuskan untuk membuat film dokumenter yang menyoroti isu-isu ini.
Tujuan penulisan ini adalah adalah mengetahui strategi pengelolaan budgeting apa
saja yang dilakukan produser dalam produksi program dokumenter ekspositori
“Bersama Bumi Pertiwi”. Menurut Rusman Latief dan Yustiatie Utud, di Indonesia
produser film umum dikenal tidak hanya sebagai penyandang dana, tetapi juga
terlibat dalam proses kreatif, dengan fokus pada manajemen, keuangan, dan
pemasaran. Produser juga sering terlibat dalam pemilihan pemain, meskipun sudah
ada profesional yang ditunjuk untuk tugas tersebut. (Rusman Latief, 2017). Sebagai
produser, penulis mengelola semua tahap produksi, bekerja sama erat dengan
sutradara untuk mengatasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pekerja hasil bumi.
Penulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan Teknik pengumpulan data
melalui observasi, studi pustaka, dan wawancara. Penulis mengeksplorasi peran
produser dalam strategi pengelolaan anggaran, khususnya dalam film dokumenter
tentang pekerja hasil bumi. Dengan menekankan kontribusi produser dalam
manajemen anggaran, penulisan ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan narasi yang dapat
meresonansi dengan penonton, meningkatkan pemahaman dan penghargaan yang
lebih dalam terhadap para pekerja hasil bumi.

Indonesia has an abundance of natural resources, shifting the trend of media
consumption towards platforms that offer diverse content and easy access. But with
the lack of information about these natural resources, the author and his team
decided to make a documentary that highlights these issues. The purpose of this
writing is to find out what budgeting management strategies were carried out by
the producer in the production of the expository documentary program “Bersama
Bumi Pertiwi”. According to Rusman Latief and Yustiatie Utud, in Indonesia film
producers are commonly known not only as funders, but also involved in the
creative process, focusing on management, finance and marketing. Producers are
also often involved in cast selection, although there are already professionals
appointed for the task. (Rusman Latief, 2017). As a producer, the author manages
all stages of production, working closely with the director to overcome the
challenges faced by the produce workers. This writing uses a descriptive method,
with data collection techniques through observation, literature study, and
interviews. The author explores the role of the producer in budget management
strategies, particularly in documentary films about produce workers. By
emphasizing the producer's contribution to budget management, this paper aims to
create a narrative that can resonate with the audience, increasing a deeper
understanding and appreciation of produce workers.
