EKSPLORASI MOTIF BATIK PEYEK GALE PADA BUSANA MODEST WEAR KONTEMPORER BRAND FUSTAN BY DOTS INDONESIA

Fustan by Dots Indonesia requires a new motif that can serve as the brand's DNA. This research aims to explore the Peyek Gale motif, a less-popular traditional Depok snack, as a new batik motif for its contemporary modest wear. The theory employed is motif exploration using batik cap (stamping) and tulis (hand-drawn) techniques, from the stylization of the original Peyek Gale snack to its selection as the chosen motif. This research utilizes the Hasso-Plattner Design thinking approach, which involves five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Through interviews and observations, this study identifies the potential of the Peyek Gale motif as a unique design element for the contemporary modest wear market. The results of this research are expected to contribute to the development of new batik motifs and enrich Fustan by Dots Indonesia's collection, while also preserving Depok's local culture.

Fustan by Dots Indonesia membutuhkan motif baru yang dapat dijadikan DNA Brand. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi motif Peyek Gale, makanan ringan khas Depok yang kurang populer dimasyarakat Depok sendiri, sebagai motif batik baru pada busana modest wear kontemporernya. Teori yang digunakan adalah eksplorasi motif dengan teknik batik cap dan tulis dari stilasi makanan asli Peyek Gale hingga dijadikan motif terpilih. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Design thinking Hasso-Plattner, yang melibatkan lima tahap: emphatize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test. Melalui wawancara dan observasi, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi potensi motif Peyek Gale sebagai elemen desain yang unik untuk pasar modest wear kontemporer. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan motif batik baru dan memperkaya koleksi Fustan by Dots Indonesia sekaligus melestarikan budaya lokal Depok.
