Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of job demand and job resourcces on the
performance of employees in the Banquet Department of Hotel X, a five-star hotel
in South Jakarta. The method used is descriptive quantitative with SPSS version 25.
The study population consists of 20 employees, with total sampling technique. Data
collection was done through a questionnaire with a Likert scale. Data analysis
techniques include: normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test,
heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test and multiple regression analysis. The
results showed that job demand and job resources have a significant and positive
effect on employee performance simultaneously. But partially job demand has no
significant effect while job resources have a significant and positive effect on
employee performance. The relationship between variables is classified as very
strong, with a determination value of only 97%, indicating that variations in
performance are dominantly influenced by the two variables above. This finding
illustrates that job demands are not the determining factor of performance, but
other aspects such as motivation and leadership that influence performance.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh job demand dan job
resourcces terhadap kinerja karyawan di Departemen Banquet Hotel X, hotel
bintang lima di Jakarta Selatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif
deskriptif dengan alat bantu SPSS versi 25. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari 20
karyawan, dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui
kuesioner dengan skala Likert. Teknik analisis data meliputi: uji normalitas, uji
linearitas, uji multikolinearitas, uji heterokedastisitas, uji autokorelasi dan analisis
regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa job demand dan job
resources berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap kinerja karyawan secara
simultan. Tetapi secara parsial job demand tidak berpengaruh signifikan sedangkan
job resources berpengaruh signifikasn dan positif terhadap kinerja karyawan.
Hubungan antarvariabel tergolong sangat kuat, dengan nilai determinasi hanya 97%,
menunjukkan bahwa variasi kinerja dominan dipengaruhi oleh dua variabel di atas.
Temuan ini memberikan gambaran bahwa tuntutan pekerjaan bukan faktor penentu
kinerja, tetapi aspek lain seperti motivasi dan kepemimpinan yang menjadi
pengaruh terhadap kinerja.
